Sorry to go back to the national Living wage of that twat George Osborne but the piffle spouted by its supporters grows by the day. Businesses paying £7.50 an hour are not subsidised by the State. I give you the real maths, the maths on why Osborne's measure makes the working poor worse off and why he has done this and what he should have done. I am such an angry capitalist I really am thinking of packing it all in. This country no longer deserves entrepreneurs.

Increasing cash outflows with no corresponding rewarding cash inflows is bad news for any business, anywhere, anytime. There isn’t anything at all of benefit.

Sadly,as you have already concluded,inflation is the friend of the taxman.Without it,the Government would be unable to disguise backdoor tax increases by fiscal drag etc.Without it,they’d have to pay off the national debt with real money,which they can’t afford to do.

You say you would like to see personal tax free allowances for your staff raised to £19000 per year . It aint gonna happen Tom . Why ? …………………………….. cos your aint paying them that much anyway! They cant give it to them tax free if you are not paying it in the first place ! Your going off on one for no reason because Osborne said he wont bring it in until 2020 in full AND he would be raising personal allowances in line as well . Osborne is working for the Labour party now ……… great aint it ……….. cant believe my luck as a life long deluded lefty . Labour even said today they wont oppose the bill, with Harmon trying hard not to laugh whilst announcing that fact on TV.
Still think you should pay your head chef more than £8 per hour . Its very low for London . You cant get anyone to mow your lawn or cut your hedge for less than £10 per hour up here in the frozen north ! My son was earning that as a part time shop assistant whilst in London as a student only one year ago . How do these people live ? the rent he was paying was about three times up here in the North , the tube costs a bomb , surely these folk must live in a cardboard box under a railway arch . They dont earn enough to even pay the rents in London. They must have at least two jobs and not sleep . Even Aldi up here pays shelf stackers more than that . What planet are you on ?…………. oh yeah ……. I remember , the one that commutes from Bristol by train and has a lovely professional wife and home away from the capital . Your expressing your right to be a capitalist by owning and running a food emporium . If you cant do it and make a profit whilst paying the living wage the deluded lefty in me says “stop doing it and do something else “ “employ your capital else where instead and stop exploiting workers so that you can squeeze out a meager profit “ Its just not worth it . For them or for you .
Inflation is good . Its lowers the cost of your debt per pound earned over time . Growth is driven by borrowing not by prudent pensioners hoarding cash . the money needs to be lent out …………. this is one and the same is it not , yet inflation is the driver to incentise the saver and the borrower at the same time , providing its at a modest level (under 5%) ……….. the great paradox .

Wages in the developing world in areas like I.T. , manufacturing and service sector jobs are between a third and a fifth of UK wages .
Therefore UK workers in the global economy will almost certainly see their wages go down over the next 20 years .
If UK workers working in the global economy see their wages stagnate and decrease , then workers in the domestic economy must also see their wages stagnate and decrease .
Higher wages , especially when sterling is strong , will just speed up the trend of exporters going out of business / offshoring jobs .
UK wages must go down . This is a given .
The only way the country can remain competitive is if govt attack affordability from the other end ; by reducing the cost of living , principally accommodation costs , so that current wages go further .

Perhaps the best way is for Tom to ask his employees, and be guided by what they want, they are the ones working there for his paid salaries.
Considering your beloved Labour party pay people for doing fuck all, not even getting out bed, just so long as they vote labour, how much frigging wealth does that create.
You cannot gift someone out of poverty, it is the gift of arrogant ignorance, and is not your gift to give. You don’t have the right to dictate who is in poverty and who is not, your gifts to get them out is the gift that keeps them in.
Free trade working market demand is the key. You country should try it sometime, you never know, it may get some of your poor people out of food banks. If you cannot keep your own out of poverty, how come you think you have the answers for anyone else. Stop your stupid foreign aid, we don’t need your gifts, we need your trade.
