The early polls are coming in, district by district. Even Messania where I live, which is the heartland of conservative new democracy, seems to have voted Oxi.

Looks like a 60/40 split with a quarter of the vote counted.
EU/EZ reaction is going to be a treat to behold ~ will they make some debt relief concessions or watch their USofE dream start to flake around the edges? Their plans to install another compliant, puppet government fails if these results are indicative of final result…. jeez democracy has finally stirred in the EU.
Raises a glass in celebration :)

Great interview with Steve Keen on the BBC news channel.
He thinks Greece could exit and prosper providing the debt is written off or defaulted on and that the capital markets would be back demanding drachma bonds within a month but Yanis has apparently told told him that he thinks Greece imports too much basic stuff in order for that to work otherwise they would have exited already.
DUCK AND DIVE
Why would there be any other result when the Greek government was elected on an anti-austerity manifesto only 6 months ago?
So why suddenly would turkeys (Greeks) vote for Xmas (higher taxes)?
I’m now beginning to understand that ShareProphets is owned by a Marxist extremist whose mid-life is dedicated to the fall of capitalism.
