Oh happy days, oh happy days. Firstly my daughter turns 14 today. Born at just 1lb 4 oz she was a miracle baby and has turnd into a cracking young lady. Secondly the Slater & Gordon/Quindell mess gets messier by the day. Lube up Rob Terry, B Wing awaits. And then I move onto Greece and China to equity market valuations and then on to Progility, HSS Hire and Lamprell.

Tom,let me help you.Progility used to be called ILX – an old favourite of yours on t1ps.Does it ring a bell now ? As for Quindell,if only you’d recommended maintaining the short [yes,that’s with hindsight – perfectly reasonable call at the time].

Re QPP – I havn’t exactly been recommending a purchase have I & have done jolly well on the SGH short call. Wouldn’t expect any credit for anything though

The SGH short was an excellent call.To be honest,I didn’t fancy opening a short in Australia extra dealing costs [on top of borrowing ?] if I did it through a UK broker,and out-of-hours communication headaches – you cannot amend orders while the market is open.Perhaps I could have done it as a bet through IG. As for Quindell,I actually stuck with the short until you suggested that they might be about to sell one of their other divisions – thus adding to the capital distribution.That scared me out.

IMF default notwithstanding, I don’t think Grexit will happen until the Greek referendum result on July 5.

I reckon the Greeks and Tsipras have done a pretty good job kicking Angela Merkel’s arse and her Bundesbank, sorry I meant ECB pleurobrats out of Greece so whatever choices will be made, unpaleatable as they are will be made using democratic principles with a freely elected government, by the Greeks, for Greece.
The attitudes of Germany and those officials in just walking in the place like an Afren Bondholders who owns the place was breathtaking and i think they sowed the seeds that will cause the Greeks to say no, and leave the Euro.
When we insisted the British finally sod off knowing we were bankrupt, was in recognizing the days of anyone could make a decision on the the Malawi so long as they were not born in Malawii had to end at some point, so this was as good a time any. It will probably take us about a hundred years to start to create a Democarcy we never had, But time means little to us, we are well used to playing Africa’s time but one day that time will come..
Perhaps the real issue here is Greece has had her Democray for so long, they had forgotten that you have to defend from those within as well as those outside as they let their syphilitic political corruption have so much room and for so long.
I think the Greeks will say no, they will put Democracy before Colonism. It will not be easy but you can be happy in poverty. and when you are in poverty the only way out is up.
I think Tsipras made an excellent job of fessing out the EU walk away price, it is all you can ask of a him and to pass the decision to the Greeks. I have also been impressed with him as he must be the first elected politician to kiss-arse those officials into knowing their place.
As I saw “call me Dave” limp dick out of the EU in a single afternoon giving up a key ingredient of what he promised perhaps the way forward for Britain is to phone the Greeks and try and make a deal that you give back the Elgin Marbles if you could borrow Tsipras for a year to negotiate a deal for Britain. Perhaps when the British see that the only politician to fight for Britain and make a difference isn’t a Britisher but a Greek they will get the message and start to vote for change.
If Britain does leave the EU to trade the world, that it can do that with politicians like Cameron, the Cleggs and the Millibands is laughable. Britain is going to have to find a lot more tough, durable group of politicians and those who fagged for them than these plastic teapots that is for sure.
If Britain and Greece both vote no it will be a catastrophe for the EU, who knows you may not needs your referendum, the EU wont last that long, Unfortunately we would never get a chance to see just how crappy Cameron really is. You have had your crappy system for too longnow .and you have given them to much room it really is that simple.

Would be interested to hear your views on MTV, has got to be one of the best examples of the horrors of AIM investment. Absolutely massive dilution, 34 billion? shares in issue. Dread to think how that compares to 2-3 years ago. Easily 90%+ value destruction over that time.
