Shame about the poor sound quality, Jason seemed a little nervous presenting too, surprised at that. Do like the idea of being invited to take part in placings, and not finding out the next day, when your holding has slumped 25%. Crowdfunding ideas are becoming more and more popular, I don’t see why this shouldn’t follow in the success. The app needs work however, all feels a little cheep, poor choice of colours, visually not appealing and difficult to read. I would tone the colours down a little. I’m already invested here, and will be holding.

What a crap idea.. an app to help people take part in placings.. so they can take part in placings while taking a sh*t ?
Really makes you wonder if these guys did any market research at all..
Size of market? Tiny.
Amount of companies using the app for IPO in any one year? Tiny.
% profit of said IPO given to Tea? Tiny.
Mcap £3m.
On average 4 IPO’s a month that’s 48 a year.. out of that 48 ipo’s realistically the only ones who are going to register on a ramped up app are David lenigas and co companies so that’s probably about 20 companies a year… being extremely over optimistic on fee’s (remembering this is something that is not needed) lets say 10k per ipo … 10k x 20 ipo’s = £200k
Take off Jason’s wages, admin fee’s etc I make it loss making at about £1.4 million per annum.
Jason – Your fired.

Richard – Dump it, do you really want to be invested in a piece of software that targets 60 people? the amount of money that has been piled into this is not going to be matched by the revenue coming back into the company.
Why does it need to be an App? It only needs to be an app because then it comes across like it is something new… more of a re vamped version of the same thing.. and for some reason investors think its good… “Teathers, bringing the placing to the toilet” what was Jasons reasoning for making it an App? Because it needs to be done fast? Why exactly, why not a website that doesn’t have bugs and need a dedicated team of developers constantly evolving with a live feeds, why do you need to partake in a placing while on the toilet, or waiting at the tube station?… This isn’t a quick fire western shoot out, there isn’t a mission impossible countdown self destruct mechanism of a Plc doing a placing.
Tea was a better company when it had nothing, now its a sh*t product that’s got loads of bugs and problems and soon to be line of pissed off investors wondering why the App has sent their Apple devices into melt down. You gotta laugh!!

think you are missing the big part of the company, not the ipo’s, it’s placings! look how many aim companies did a placing last year, think about how many pi’s that pissed off when the sp of their investment went crashing down, while city boys flipped the stock for a quick buck. now give those pi’s the opportunity of getting some of that cheap line stock, seems a good opportunity, if you are an investor on AIM!

Hi Paul
No I think you are tbh with you mate.
This is nothing new, investors are already able to partake in placings if they wish by using a decent broker that deals in placings. A lot of the time companies will want to go to ii’s and not pi’s for funds it is more cost efficient. Some placings are available for pi’s but certainly not the majority and there are reasons for this other then “not accessible”.
So what have Teathers actually created? and how is this going to make money for Teathers shareholders?
Brokers are paid via a fee or % to ensure that the PLC can get funds and do a placing, the broker will find the best ii’s and funders for the placing, the better the broker, the better the funder.
How is what Teathers are offering worthy of £2.7m what to they propose to do? They want to have the placing put through their system and take a % from the broker? Why on earth would a broker give away a % of their profit for something that just isn’t needed, pi’s can already partake in placings where the broker permits so all Teathers have done is made it more easily accessible while taking a sh*t.
Their business model is nothing more then dog turd.
It is a shame that there wasn’t a little bit more grilling from pi’s at the investor show regarding the logistics of what Teathers are trying to do, I am sure armed with a few decent questions Jason Drummond would be left with his pants round his ankles.
This product and company is coming from a man who Tweets “My best tech to date” .. seriously gotta ask yourself questions about the level of his integrity when the App is about as buggy as they come and near on pointless which in my humble opinion will NEVER make a profit… “Best tech to date” that says a lot about him one way or the other.
I would imagine you will see a few placings go through the App, mainly DL confetti or some other London/Aussi based company it will be hyped a little more and the plug will be pulled for one way or the other… A big call maybe but i have worked in software and i understand the logistics and how hard it is to build, run and maintain an App the market is just not there to make this viable.
As an investor i’d be hoping they change direction sooner then later Or the better option getting out on the next spike.
Gl what ever you choose I hope it works out for you!
