Stellar Diamonds fools Digital Look with diamond discovery - it should be ashamed

The roll call of shame on today's RNS from Stellar Diamonds: Nomad Cairn Financial (Emma Earl, that name rings a bell), Broker Beaufort Securities (Jon Bellis), joint broker Peterhouse Corporate Finance (Martin Lampshire), Financial Advisers Mirabaud (Rory Scott), Pr St Brides ( Lottie Brocklehurst). The headline is "709 Carat Diamond Discovered in Sierra Leone." Fuck me: where do I buy Stellar shares? These guys have just discovered the 13th biggest diamond in the country's history. Fuck me again - where is my fucking stockbroker? Oh er hang on...

Large gem find cheers Stellar Diamonds

Bulk sampling by Stellar Diamonds (STEL), the German-backed West Africa-focused gem play at the Baoule kimberlite pipe in Guinea has turned up a 55-carat stone and encouraged the AIM-quoted concern to argue this 'confirms the presence of large stones' in the deposit, which Stellar hopes to develop to tap a potential low-grade resource of three million carats.

German backing for Stellar Diamonds

West Africa-focused AIM dog Stellar Diamonds (STEL) has coaxed a potential investment of £2.6 million from Heidelberg-based investment outfit Deutsche Balaton to fund applying for a mining licence at its Tongo gem prospect in Sierra Leone and to resume trial mining at the Baoule pipe in Guinea’s  Aredor diamond field. The company, whose shares at 0.3p have lost 98% of their value since floating on AIM at 20p eight years ago, is also proposing a one for fifty share consolidation, as it prepares to give board representation to Deutsche Balaton, which is itself quoted on the secondary market in Frankfurt and whose stake in Stellar could reach 37.5% with the blessing of the Takeover Panel if shareholders agree to the deal.

Stellar Diamonds a speculative punt on diamond market recovery

Shares in West Africa-focused Stellar Diamonds (STEL) may have lost nearly 98% of its AIM value since floating at 20p eight years ago. But chief executive Karl Smithson hopes to overcome market scepticism as the company moves to follow a positive new preliminary economic assessment of its flagship 1.45 million-carat Tongo kimberlite project in Sierra Leone with a full mining licence application.

Stellar resists discounters

Emerging West African gem producer Stellar Diamonds (STEL) has lost face on AIM after withdrawing a quarter of the stones on offer from its first gem sale in Antwerp, but the company insists its programme is still on track. With Stellar’s shares down at 0.93p, against a £1 million placing price of 1.16p in January and 95% below their 20p float price in 2007, chief executive officer Karl Smithson says buyers at the Antwerp sale were asking for discounts of ’40 to 50%’ below what the company felt acceptable for 1,617 carats out of the 6,031 carats on offer from its operations in Guinea and Sierra Leone.

Barry says "if this trade unwinds it does completely crash the economy" as if there is a way to avoid it. By some measures the biggest bubble the world economy has ever seen cannot be kept inflated indefinitely, nor can it be made to deflate slowly and gently float down. Or at least that has never been seen with the biggest bubbles the world has ever seen previously. Interesting times ahead.

Please produce some data to back up your claim that the government by which you mean the Bank of England as the government has no control over the money supply, is printing money. What is increasing, is it M1, M2 or M3 and by how much? I strongly suspect that the inflation we are seeing today is input cost inflation, largely caused by the increase in energy costs as a result of the war started by the orange faced idiot and his puppet master Netanyahu. Energy costs are pervasive, influencing every aspect of the economy and your suggestion of reducing the taxes on energy is populist nonsense. Would you have the government borrowing even more money than it is now, or dare I say it, printing money?

Benefits increases of 3.9%. public sector pay increases of 3.3%. 4.1% increase in minimum wage.I have no idea where some inflation comes from?Though of course all these people have to choose between heating and eating.

Money printing schmoney printing, what you say makes no logical sense. Inflation can have many causes and money printing is certainly one of them, but neither the Federal Reserve nor the Bank of England are printing money at the moment. If they were printing money they would not need to borrow money. Why would you borrow money at 5% if you can print it? Both countries are borrowing huge amounts, record amounts, ergo they are not printing noney. And you call your self an evonomist!
