Quartix Technologies – emphasises “ahead of current market expectations”, but what about also “reporting review with the Financial Reporting Council”

Vehicle tracking systems, software and services company Quartix Technologies (QTX) has issued a “Trading Update” including that it “is pleased to report that it expects revenue and adjusted EBITDA (under current accounting policies) are expected to be ahead of current market expectations. Free cashflow is expected to have been £5.1m… The company ended the year with a cash balance of £5.6m”. What about the shares up towards 300p in response?

QTX

Quartix Technologies – “confident of achieving market expectations for the year”, but how do those expectations compare to the valuation now?…

Describing itself as “a leading supplier of subscription-based vehicle tracking systems, software and services” Quartix Technologies (QTX) has issued a half-year trading statement including that its performance and outlook mean that it “is confident of achieving market expectations for the year for revenue and EBITDA and of being slightly ahead on free cashflow. The company expects to declare an interim dividend of 2.5p per ordinary share (2024: 1.5p)”. How good is this news from its valuation at a current around 250p share price?

QTX

Quartix Technologies – interims, argues full-year “believes… will moderately exceed market expectations”. Er, what about the prior expectations though?!

Describing itself as “a leading supplier of subscription-based vehicle tracking systems, analytical software and services”, Quartix Technologies (QTX) states that it “is pleased to announce its unaudited results for the half year ended 30 June 2024” and emphasises that it “is confident in the outlook for the remainder of the year and now believes that both revenue and profit will moderately exceed market expectations. The company looks forward to 2025 and the future with confidence”. So what about that in relation to a current more than 16% higher share price response to 186p?

QTX

Quartix Technologies – from “incredibly pleased” acquisition in September to now ‘committed to reducing its impact on performance as soon as possible’!

Previously writing on vehicle tracking and analytics technologies company Quartix (QTX), in October, with the shares down to 152.5p, I concluded that with noted challenges and reviews currently avoid/sell. The shares most recently closed at 155p but today a “Konetik update”-titled announcement, and what of the shares currently falling below 150p?

QTX

Quartix Technologies – prior “pleased to report” wasn’t any more justified; profit warning…

Previously writing on vehicle tracking and analytics technologies company Quartix (QTX), in July with the shares up to 235p I concluded it was currently good luck with significant bottom-line growth and that I continued to avoid. The shares most recently closed at 200p and what of them now a further more than 20% lower on the back of a “trading update”?

QTX

Quartix Technologies – trading update, “pleased to report” any more justified this time?

Previously writing on vehicle tracking and analytics technologies company Quartix (QTX), last year with the shares at 385p I concluded that, with a £186 million market cap, its 2021 results weren’t pleasing. The shares most recently closed at 225p, and what of them currently up to 235p on the back of a “Interim Results Timetable and Trading Update” announcement?

What is the consent requirement of the warrant holders for a variation of terms? 50% or 75%. Might be 100% for a complete cancellation. What’s on the back of yr warrant cert?

I know that Milton Friedman said that inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon, but I don't think he was 100% correct. Cost push inflation as we are experiencing today, thanks to Donald Trump's and Benyamin Netanyahu's absurd war on Iran is a real thing. It's not a fiction, so I don't think you can blame the present inflation on money printing. My understanding was that after all the years of quantitative easing during and after Covid, the BoE is currently engaged in quantitative tightening by selling the bonds that it purchased during QE, so where is the money printing? May I suggest that if the BoE was printing money, the Treasury would not have to borrow so much.

I’m not sure that this MP is dumb. He seems to be offering selective facts which suit his agenda. It’s what all politicians of all parties do - all of the time. I’d need to hear him talking complete factual bollox to convict him.As a point of order I live in Brighton and I’ve only ever known one person who has purple hair and she wasn’t a diversity officer - although she did have some chunky necklaces!Nobody eats bean sprouts any more - they really are horrid!
