Steve O’Hara and smearing his critics at Optibiotix

There is a very unpleasant pattern appearing here which shows Steve O’Hara, the boss of Optibiotix (OPTI), where I remain a loyal shareholder, in a very poor light. This was flagged up by Lemming Investor at the weekend. Lemming and I have both supported Optibiotix and O’Hara in the past but no more.

OPTI

BREAKING: Reporting Optibiotix to the FRC for inaccurate accounts and it has also breached the Companies Act 2006, a criminal action

As each day goes by the case for replacing almost all of the board at Optibiotix (OPTI) grows louder and louder. It is incompetent, mendacious and overpaid. CEO Steve O’Hara remains adamant that they are all doing a great job but here is another shocker. I have written to my good pals at the Financial Reporting Council about new “crimes” picked up by reader M

OPTI

Letter to Liam Murray at Cairn and AIM regulation Re Optibiotix fund raise

I have written to Liam “the Toke” Murray at Nomad Cairn and, in case, he is dozing on a mushroom, cc’d in AIM Regulation regarding the 23 May £500,000 raised by Optibiotix (OPTI) with what it termed a specialist “institutional investor” and what lyin’ Steve O’Hara subsequently stated was a “strategic investor,” Alumni Capital. A new RNS is needed.

OPTI

BREAKING: Optibiotix names the US “strategic and specialist investor” and it has already been selling shares.

On Friday 23 May Optibiotix (OPTI) announced a placing with a US “specialist” investor taking £500,000 of shares at 14p. It did not name that investor but the implication was that this was a kosher long term fundamentals based investor. Even yesterday Steve O'Hara was briefing that it was a "strategic investor." Today it has updated its Rule 26 page and the ghastly truth is starting to slip out.

OPTI

Seven days since the £500,000 “investment” and still no TR1, at an EGM who should be sacked?

I accept that it is the responsibility of the “investor” who Steve O’Hara claims put £500,000 unto Optibiotix (OPTI) in last Friday’s discounted 14p placing, to serve up a Tr1. But as the trade now happened more than a week ago, O’Hara could chase the matter or could simply name the investor. He will not. Just as he now refuses to return calls or emails from me. It is not as if he wants to move forward amicably and behind closed doors.

OPTI

Liam “the toke” Murray – where is the TR1 or did Optibiotix lie again?

If Liam “the Toke” Murray at Nomad Cairn was not either useless or stoned he would have, by now, forced someone at Optibiotix (OPTI) to fall, on his sword for fabricating an RNS quote from a then unconscious CEO on October 10 last year, a clear breach of AIM Rule 10. And with that failing we now turn to the missing TR1 which may show Optibiotix lied in an RNS.

OPTI

Optibiotix: tell us about that £500,000 share trade announced last thing on Friday?

On Friday morning, Optibiotix (OPTI), whose liar of a CEO had said that it was funded through to profitability later this year, announced a discounted placing at 14p with warrants at 21p. The lying CEO, Steve O’Hara, insisted that £500,000 of that cash came from a specialist “institutional investor with previous experience of investing in companies with weight management products who became aware of OptiBiotix's recent launches of SlimBiome products in the USA.” I bet my entire Cheryl Cole poster collection that this was bollocks.

OPTI

Junior Lemming agrees with me on Optibiotix, shares will not reflect value without corporate governance reform

Lemming junior appears not to like me very much so it will pain him greatly that I think his latest article on Optibiotix (OPTI) is bang on the money except in suggesting that I have made “numerous” calls to Lemming senior. The company serves up great news today and its shares don’t move. Surely even Steve O’Hara realizes the reasons why now?

OPTI

Letter to AIM Regulation & the FCA: Investigate Neil Davidson or others at Optibiotix

Someone at Optibiotix (OPTI) may have breached AIM Rule 10 and possibly committed fraud in pushing out a grotesquely misleading statement. Is it chairman Neil Davidson, partner of the ghastly ex Tory MP Anna Soubry. I have written to the regulators, ccing in hapless Nomad Liam Murray at Cairn and broker Peterhouse urging an investigation. Or maybe they will just try to sweep this under the carpet because it would not do to upset the establishment would it?

OPTI

Optibiotix: another O’Hara podcast, another string of reasons why the chairman must go NOW

I thought Optibiotix (OPTI) was in a closed period so Steve O’Hara should not be commenting on trading. He certainly releases price sensitive information in the podcast he has recorded below about new orders in the USA, India and Oz. This should be an RNS. It is positive from a trading perspective but this is another PR feck up which screams out the need for boardroom change. And there is worse.

OPTI

Steve O' Hara 12 minute monologue, listen and FYB

The Optibiotix (OPTI) CEO has recorded a 12 minute monologue. Listen and I defy anyone not to say why this does not leave the shares hugely cheap at 18.5p, a market cap of c£18 million. This really is a cue to FYB. Here are the key takeaways:

OPTI

OptiBiotix Health – leading USA weight management brand first order, shares to treble or more

OptiBiotix Health (OPTI) has announced a “first order from a leading weight management brand in the United States of America” and that “further information on the partner and brand will be announced on launch which the company anticipates will be in H1 2025”. So how encouraging is this latest order from an up to 17.5p share price, £17.1 million OptiBiotix market capitalisation?

I'm sure it a complete coincidence that where I live has not been greatly "enriched" and its benefit bill looks like this.Ranked 526 of 575 by total spendTotal benefits bill · £1,233 per resident · +16.8% in 2yrsMedian local wage: £42,366 (+9.7% in 2yrs)Though even here the bennies bill is rising faster than even a relatively productive area can support long term.Further coincidence that the areas full of bennie bunnies are also the areas where we've filled them with people that are needed "to pay our pensions". How is that working out?

The entire Benefits system needs scrapping and starting from scratch. There are many things that can be done such as the scrapping of the mobility car scheme unless you absolutely need one. We have two family friends, retired ladies who have these cars, both are very wealthy with 6 figure bank balances etc so why are people like that entitled to a tax payer car when they can afford their own. Put me in charge and I will slash the bill by 50%, it would be easy to do.

To do otherwise breaches the trust system of money. Only believing money received in the future has value, supports the idea of debt and credit. Without debt ( and return on that debt) , capitalism fails. Ability to print money on demand eliminates debt rational ( return) so collapses capitalism by default.

Others have attested that you only need to issue debt (government bonds) if you are running s as current account deficit. You issue the bonds to pay for your expenses EducationHealthBenefitsRoadsDefenceGovernment staff and buildings PoliceFireCoastguards I’m sure there are others. Quangos etc…If you just print money whilst running a deficit you risk a lack of confidence in the currency. MMT has been shown to be a lot of nonsense because the longer you keep spending what you don’t have the higher your deficit climbs. You either have to grow the economy to reduce the debt or reduce what you are spending. Zimbabwe and other third world countries have shown this. You can end up with hyper inflation which does nobody any good and further causes a sovereign monetary and debt crisis. Reduced public spending and/or increased taxes are the only alternatives….Or are they. The Laffer Curve suggests that the lowering of direct taxes fosters higher productivity and in turn increases tax revenues. Just don’t give all the tax cuts to the billionaires or you’ll end up with Trump’s America - and nobody wants that!In conclusion if it was that easy some other bugger would have done it already. Yes… we’re all screwed 😩
