More good news! Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI) has announced that a current Hawiah project drilling programme is nearing completion with approximately 14,000 metres of the 15,500 metre programme having now been drilled and “results indicate we will within a few months be in a position to report a larger resource at higher grade”.
A Tulu Kapi funding announcement from Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI) has helped the shares slightly higher. Positive then, but that the shares remain below the 2.375p of as recently as April tells it is not completely so.
Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI) “is pleased to provide an operational update”, but the shares are currently relatively flatlining at 1.85p so what’s the news?
BBMs are buzzing over another Ethiopian press article claiming that Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI) is set to lose the Tulu Kapi license, this time on 23 June. I have corresponded with Harry Adams who says:
Writing on Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI) earlier this week, we noted “pleased to announce” results but unacceptable boardroom greed. There is now a “Modification to Executive Bonus Plan” announcement which is a vicyory for Tom Winnifrith and great news for shareholders.
On Monday morning, Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI) boss Harry Adams said he was unaware of anyone opposing a plan which would have seen him trouser a $1.5 million cash bonus – on top of his annual drawings of £337,000 – within two years just for doing his job. I made it bloody clear that I was livid and would vote against all proposals at the forthcoming AGM if Harry did not think again. Today he did the right thing and thought again.
I am a loyal shareholder in Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI). Its boss Harry Adams is my friend. Or at least he was until today, he may not like me after this. And I think that the shares at just under 2p are incredibly cheap with the clear potential to multi-bag from here. But news of a potential $1.5 million cash handout for Harry is a bridge too far. I want to protest and will do so at the forthcoming AGM.
As first reported here on Sunday, there seems to be a certain amount of argy bargy in Ethiopia which some have taken to threaten the Tulu Kapi mine owned by Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI). Yesterday, Kefi said that it had received no letter indicating the mine was under threat but overnight a statement appeared on the website of the ministry of mining.
There is a report in the Ethiopian press that Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI) will receive a letter threatening it with the loss of its Tulu Kapi asset. The shares will slip on Monday and an RNS will be needed. I'd use that as an opportunity to average down as I have a company statement and I have also chatted at length to Harry Adams.
Tuesday saw great news from Saudi Arabia from Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI) but where was that “funding secured” in Q1 news on Tulu Kapi we were all expecting? Er… Wednesday brought a Q1 update and guess what? Yes: funding is not yet secured. To Saudi first...
KEFI Gold & Copper (KEFI) has produced a drilling update on its 34%-owned and operated Hawiah project in Saudi Arabia, emphasising significant intercept returns despite the programme seeking to 'stretch' some of the extremities of the deposit...
Kefi Gold and Copper (KEFI) has served up more drilling news from its ongoing 13,000 metre programme at Hawiah, the copper play in Saudi, and conducted its AGM. As ever, most of the AGM statement is just a rehash of what we already knew. The votes on reappointing auditors and directors are a formality. But there are 2 very big takeaways...
