Stewart Dickson of Nomad Cantor Fitzgerald is today exposed for his role in the scandal at African Potash (AFPO) as the company misled investors ahead of a bailout placing, as it committed fraud. You can read about Dickson's role HERE as we launch the "Fire Stewart Dickson to clean up AIM campaign."
My man in London has provided me with a new email sent by African Potash (AFPO) CEO lyin' Chris Cleverley. This now allows me to publish the contract signed with Beryl Holdings, so demonstrating to you all how misleading the announcement by Potash was and also the bung involved in this deal. More critically I can now demonstrate the individuals at City firms who were aware how misleading the RNS was and - given that Potash was on the pathway to a placing - how fraudulent that is. Those City figures I name and shame should now all be placed on immediate workplace suspension ahead of a formal enquiry.
Yesterday's expose here of AIM listed African Potash (AFPO) demonstrated quite explicitly and without doubt that the company was guilty of fraud - that is to say raising money, with the assistance of Nomad and broker Cantor Fitzgerald - having materially misled investors. I have today passed on the supporting documentation to three different regulators asking all three to open investigations into African Potash. My open letter explaining why follows.
On December 1 2015 AIM listed African Potash (AFPO) announced what appeared an incredible marketing deal for its fertiliser with a company called Beryl - of course nothing has come of the deal and what African neglected to mention was a £600,000 bung. A source in London has sent me the signed contract. One month and 12 days ahead of a bailout placing investors were grossly mislead as to the nature of the Beryl deal. Potash shares need to be suspended at once and AIM Regulation and the FCA have to get involved.
Private investors who put their money into small AIM companies are often either incredibly gullible or the part of their brain which urges caution is blinded by greed – and this is largely why the market is able to function in the corrupt way that it does!
On 6th January 2016 African Potash (AFPO) announced a major sales deal. Six days later it got away a bailout placing. Gradually over the months that followed that sales deal was shown to be bogus, a sham, not worth the loo paper it was written on. But at least the ramp allowed this AIM Casino posterboy to get its placing away. Now the bastards are at it again. 30 seconds on Google is enough to make you doubt a word this company says as it tries to get another bailout placing away. African is teetering on the verge of insolvency.
Death spiral providers Bergen are vultures. They are not nice folks. They are not long term investors. But they are not dumb either. They know that shares in African Potash (AFPO) are set to crash and so today Bergen has exercised 63.7 million warrants at 0.3p under some old deal it had. Oh dear. The shares will be admitted to trading on Wednesday but Bergen won't be waiting for then. Oh no.
African Potash (AFPO) was one of seven companies listed on the AIM casino by former England cricketer Phil Edmonds and his business partner Andrew Groves. My attention has been drawn to a recently published dossier on the two men which can only be described as utterly explosive. On the basis of what is in this dossier any company associated with the two looks to be, pro tem, 100% uninvestable.
If anyone sees Chris Cleverley about town make sure he reads this. The "spin" from supporters of African Potash (AFPO) is that the events of yesterday are just a matter of bad PR, nothing unusual on the AIM casino and we should just move on. Ben "flip flop" Turney tweets such nonsense. Boy has flip flop lost the plot. African has been seen to have made statements via RNS, as it worked a placing away that were just, by its own admission, untrue. It raised cash on a false prospectus. That is fraud. Its shares must be suspended and its CEO Chris Cleverley deserves to go to prison. And he might just do that. Flip Flop sent out two tweets on this matter yesterday:
Shareholders in African Potash (AFPO) should be on the warpath. Not with myself and Lucian who they have, to date, berated for pointing out what a piece of Turkish this company is. But with its management for issuing statements which are just not true - as explained HERE. Following my earlier article I have now asked AIM Regulation to launch a formal enquiry into both Potash and also its Nomad, Cantor Fitzgerald, which signed off on its RNS statements having somehow verified them as true. The letter reads:
I do not use the world liar lightly but today's statement from African Potash (AFPO) shows that the company are lying bastards and anyone holding the shares is quite simply delusional. How has the Nomad signed off on blatant lies? Why has it not quit? Is it acceptable to tell outright lies on AIM these days?
Given the delays to payments involving the African Potash (AFPO) fertiliser deals so far, things aren’t looking good for the company, nor it’s business model!
African Potash (AFPO) CEO Chris Cleverley says that he is an expert in running Not For Profit Organisations. African certainly fits into that category but today's interims suggest that Cleverley has not got a scoobie.
It amazes me how long some companies can maintain a buoyant share price when they are largely running on hot air. Currently African Potash (AFPO) would definitely fall into that category when you look at what was promised, and which induced the massive rise from around 0.3p, to what has actually been delivered so far to have justified that.
