You will note that the by-line on this article is mine. Just as it was on yesterday’s where I then reprinted the words of my pal Waz Shakoor. Presumably all the bears of Audioboom (BOOM) will now go attacking me too. What follows is actually a response from Audioboom CEO Rob Proctor. It is a response I asked him to pen.

The more you protest your professionalism, Tom, the less professional you appear.

Rob Proctor’s measured response makes your narcissistic, self-justifying wrap look like it was written by a sulky sixth-former who has been called out by his betters for cheating in an exam.

A REAL Professional journalist (and a REAL man, for that matter) would let his words speak for themselves and wouldn’t feel the need to draw his readers’ attention to what a fine fellow he is and how the whole world misunderstands him.

I observed in a previous comment to one of your better articles that you appeared to be following in the footsteps of your uncle, Christopher Booker.

I take it back. If I were he, I’d be distancing myself from a nephew who appears incapable of distinguishing between the exercise of free speech and vulgar ranting.

Now let’s see whether you really uphold freedom of speech and publish this response or whether it fails to pass the moderation hurdle.
