My pal Waz Shakoor has posted a precis of why he has gone short of Audioboom (BOOM) over on TMF. As ever his research is detailed and interesting. The Great Waz writes of a company which at 11.5p is valued at £62 million on the AIM Casino:

I think you’ve missed a trick on BOOM, Tom. Their business model makes Soundcloud’s look like kindergarten stuff.
Boom is building a premium content led, revenue-generating model from scratch, and growing its subscriber base on the back of premium content.
The likes of Soundcloud build a freebie user base and then sit back and scratch their heads about such “small” issues as oops, what about licensing? And, how do we generate revenue?
Boom’s bisiness model has built-in revenue generating capacity.
Anyway, I’m a bit peed off as your bearcast has contributed to a bear raid on BOOM (playing right in to MMs hands as they’ve been short of shares for a while, now) and has totally failed to comprehend the uniqueness of the Premium content led business model that underlies BOOM’s strategy.
You’ll catch up – one of these days, Tom.
But only timne will tell whether you or I called it right.
Meanwhile, keep up your Sherriff of Aim job exposing frauds.
I just think you’ve got it badly wrong with BOOM.
Don’t let your bearishness go to your head.

All links broken (to me at least) apart from the last one…

Just realised that your above article is a c & p.
Bad form, Tom, to make it appear that it was your original thinking in response to BOOM’s RNS of today, when it’s a regurgitation of an out of date opinion from your mate, Waz, who has a short position in BOOM.
The use of quotation marks could have clarified where your intro words ended and your Wazzy mate’s started, but you chose not to use them.
Deliberately misleading, imo, just like those deliberately misleading RNSs you like to bang on about.
I’m beginning to wonder whether you are no better than the oleaginous creeps on AIM that you seek to expose.

SocialGo started with all the same fluff and look what happened there, went bust on AIM and burnt through millions of cash. Have seen some positive Audioboom press but having Googled it I agree, can’t see any big growth so far. Soundlcloud is so good too.
