I sometimes wonder if investors really read through issued RNS statements. Today’s interims from Rockhopper Exploration (RKH) are excellent and demonstrate why its only one of two choices in the oil sector I can recommend at the present time.

Was in RKH, sold at 81.625p 14/11/14, as for a change got it right call, as OPEC meeting was due and did not want to guess the outcome. I aggree that RKH ticks the boxes, but am afraid it is still an oily, and the price can still move south as already has been the case. GLA.

The PI see’s price driving news almost 4 years away, now they see oil slipping further south. Is oil close to bottoming? Probably close.

discovery Sea Lion hasnt well rewarded investors when the Oil found, there have been no dividends so what are investors getting just a freeroll onto the next wildcat and the warm and fuzzy feeling there is cash in the bank for the company to consume in the meantime.
