REM

Rare Earth Minerals. Stonking Sell

After yesterday’s running verbal battle concerning my sell call on Rare Earth Minerals (REM), today I feel I have to follow up with more detail why I believe this stock is a sel. I came under fire for there being a lack of detail and thought behind my original piece. Although I disagree with this, I don’t mind spelling out what I am convinced Rare Earth is a sell at 1.65p.

  1. jeez,

I see the anti lennigas campaign continues then, wonder what drove you to start this? AIM is full of under valued and over valued shares, with miners its pretty tricky trying to nail down a true value at the best of times. I assume you ignore REM’s cash assets, investments in BCN and WLT in your numbers? Also, what value have you included for the other interests around the world, any at all?

Seems to me that SP is being used to target rising small caps these days and destroying PI money in the process after they had such an awful time on AIM for so long, why is SP now seeing PI shares as ones to target for shorters and being used a vehicle for the likes for SK to short them to death? Amazed you are allowed to get away with this endless attacking of PIs stocks but then I guess if you tried it on with some of the bigger boys you would get sued to bankruptcy in the courts so you pick on the tiddlers, how brave, how clever….hope you can sleep well with your claims of trying to protect PIs from over valued companies, all you are really doing is killing their investments and making shorters some easy money. Well done, you must feel great. Expect the usual flippant expletive filled answers by return.

  2. Hi James,

I really think you should stop writing articles about REM as you are not getting the point. It’s fairly obvious you have a dislike for the share and David Lenigas.

You have failed to mention REM’s other projects, cash in the bank, 10 million loan facility for further acquisitions, value of the other concessions in Mexico that are within the same area of exploration (actually this does matter)….Are you telling me that if I had 5 holes full of Gold that you should only take notice of one hole?

As for the Bacanora note on PEA – This is standard for all mining companies and not specific to REM/BCN.

You haven’t mentioned that we are working with Ford.

You haven’t mentioned that we are in the same province as Fords largest plant.

The list goes on and I simply do not have the time to write more. Just write a balanced article, that’s all we want. If you recommend to sell to 0,5 pence, that’s fine. But at least put the facts out with some calculations so that it can be discussed intelligently.

I urge all investors to look at both REM and BCN websites along with the latest official RNS’s this year to get a much better picture of both shares.

    Thanks,
    Derfel

  3. you are an interesting little character, i guess you never made it the real world as a top flight trader instead did a spot of work experience at the Sunday Spot and thought i know i can make a living talking tosh, perhaps knock some hard working companies down a peg or two and then buy in nice and cheap before telling your sad little mates on this site and twitter to join in – easy money i guess.

made me laugh the other day when you were kicked out of the QPP AGM, that must of hurt suddenly realising you weren’t being taken seriously by anyone important. i think had i been you i wouldn’t have taken pictures of myself and stuck them all over twitter wearing a stupid hat.

and to top it off you don’t have assets in your name in fear of them being taken away from you in any legal case, that alone for em shows that you know to well that everything you right it a complete load of bollocks, but hey you are safe as you have nothing to lose.

I stuck a load of dosh in QPP, made money before your mates across the pond shorted them to near death, i then put dosh in REM and find you are doing the same. in fact if memory serves me correct didn’t you also fuck over Cupid ?

I am amazed you aren’t living in a dark room somewhere with a big lock on your door because one day my friend someone just might bite back and i assure you that post on Twitter will go viral.

Focus on Pizza and leave the clever stuff to people that create employment, wealth, happiness and security to others.

    End

  4. “Bacanora’s PEA creators were keen to point out that “Investors are cautioned that the resource estimate is preliminary ….. blah blah blah.”

It’s called a “Disclaimer/Disclosure”. You have one at the top AND the bottom of your article….

  5. You really are a one. Your research (if you can call it research) has just been done to pick holes in the stock you should hang your head in shame. Do you really think your shorting tactics will win you greedy little urchin.

  6. Steve Yelland

James- I agree re REM vln which is v high compared to BCN, which is the reason REM is adding most days to its BCN holdings. BCN is planning an AIM listing wef 25/7/14 so we will see what this does to the BCN share price, albeit they did mention raising £4.75m at 33p in their listing updates, which is around half the price they trade for in Canada. Re Rodinia – you should probably have mentioned the asset there is in Argentina to be fair. Still an interesting project all the same but they need good news re the Argentinian debt moves in the US to stabilise things for them. Im long BCN btw.

  7. Booksultra

Analysis (even negative) is fine. ‘Sell down to 0.5p’. That last bit robs you of credibility and leads me to question (some of) your motives.. Have you compared notes with your colleague Mr Newman who seems more measured and balanced? I topped up at 0.46 and am original holder from 0.06 so quite content. You’ve omitted Greenland, and the rare earths in Australia. I look forward to seeing the sp at the end of 30 Sep.

  8. James Parter who wrote the ‘stonking sell’ article on REM should consult with his fellow shareprophet Gary Newman who recommended a cautious buy, purchasing on any dips.

  9. James Parter

Ah well. I write few details and you complain. I write many details and you ignore them and still complain!

    badabing,

I give a total value of £10m to the cash and shares held in other companies plus to the greenland and australian assets. The shares held and cash is a straight forward calculator job. Greenland is very speculative with no firmed asset so its hard to give a big value to that. Australia is also a low value project as there is no firmed asset either. But Hastings paid £1M for the project so that is a benchmark

You take it out on us when we say things are overvalued and we have a great track record. Look at GWMO from me and the tens of companies that Tom, Ben et. al have called. Rampers are more dangerous then us. They are the individuals who get people buying on spikes promising 1000% returns in 2 weeks. Some of them dont even know what a market cap is for crying out loud as they think a low share price is cheap!

    Derfel,

Why dont you comment about Rodinia? Why is everyone avoiding the facts? Why would you choose Bacanora or rem over Rodinia when Rodinia is tiny and has a very strong project that makes rem look crazily expensive. Rodinia is not the anomaly. Rem is.

Rem’s loan is at 10%. That is not a great interest rate. 5% is good. You can’t value future acquisitions when a) you dont know what they are, and b) they might not even acquire anything. The warning is for all companies who DONT HAVE AN ECONOMIC RESERVE. It is not for all companies at all. Rem does not have a reserve and it not close to having one.

Please post where it says that Rem are working with Ford. I will follow that up. Your subsequent point is meaningless. I point you to Rodinia and if you want you can look at all the other lithium plays. Rem is very dear but investors are skipping around that point. If you write a reply then explain why rem is cheap compared to Rodinia using facts.

It seems no case I make is good enough for investors. As long as I put a sell at the end then you could not care less what the rest says!

    James P

  10. James,

Suggest you read the much more balanced and well researched article from money week on REM this week.

  11. Hi James,

You have also mentioned Rodinial Lithium. It’s taken me 15 minutes to read but already I can see that actually what BCN/REM have is better in several ways.

PEA for BCN/REM for La Ventana states that revenue per year is 210 million dollars
PEA for Rodinial Lithium states that revenue per year is 150 million dollars per year.

PEA for Rodinial states that it will need 220 million dollars in startup costs
PEA for BCN/REM for La Ventana states that it will need 114 million dollars in startup costs

BCN/REM have an open clay pit which is much easier to extract than Brine. Rodinial have Brine.

REM/BCN have a total of 10 concessions, we are still drilling…

I again urge you to do some absolute basic research as this really didn’t take me long to find out. I’ll leave it at that as I’m assuming you understand that I disagree with your opinion for the second time due to lack of research on your part.

    Thanks,
    Derfel

  12. tangled web – cobwebs in your head mate. As it happens of the “well known bears” only 1 has any positions in Dave Lenigas stocks. Evil….he is long.

Fuck off and check your facts

    T

  13. well done fellas : very professional there Tom having to resort sto swearing at people now yeah ? whats this got to do with you anyway ?

James are you aware that from the PEA for La Ventana — they have actually had a 37 % increase in the amount of Lithium Carbonate – 1.27m tonnes so the NPV is likely to be great than the $848m previously stated ?

What would be your best estimate for the PEA for the El Sauz and Fleur Prject which actually contains 2m tonnes of Lithoum Carbonate

I would suggest more than both la Venatna and Rodina

also the fact its from clays and not Brines or rock – is a more efficent process as they are not dependent on the weather

Well played though thats 2 attempts in 2 days

    cana we expect a 3rd tomorrow ??

    very sad -

  14. I see the morons are back again in force . You can lead a horse to water , but you cant make it drink !

I suggest the morons visit youtube and watch the various presentations by Amanda Van Dyke on how the professional natural resource investors appraise the value of a project at each stage from exploring ,discovery and the many other stages right through to production before making an investment .
Amanda is acknowleged as a world expert in this field and speaks on mining resource investment appraisal at the worlds major natural resource mining conferences .

a well informed moron could be a dangerous thing, but its worth a try at least .

  15. Hi James,

What a twat you are. If you that sure about rem then why dont you short it, its all about making money at the end of the day. Your mate Tom wont short it, wonder why? Yes, you will probably achieve your goal in the short term by driving the price down so your mates can make some money, but DL is a clever sod, he was running successful companies before you where sperm. I dont think he is going to lye down and take it without a fight. Cant wait to see what his next move is. Sleep well twat. PS Hope your summerhouse is infested.

  16. My understanding is that lithium extraction from clays is far quicker, cheaper and more efficient than extraction from brines.

  17. Learn how to value a resource asset discovery correctly before you comment rashly .

    see:-
    Amanda Van Dyke
    Youtube

    Watch and learn.

  18. wildrides i dont knowwhat your game is – but can you not read ?? Our friendly James PArter forgets to mention that the PEA he uses for camparison is open for and upgrade soon !! Like i pointed out 37 % more resource has been estimated since the Original PEA !! He obviously does not read the RNS’s

secondly we are also very close to the PEA for the Fleur El Sauz project which is even bigger than La ventana – this could come at anytime –

the infrastructure in Mexcio is a train ride away from the USA border 150km s

this is the truth of the matter -
