Underneath my classic value investor coat there is a contrarian value investor trying to get out. As such when I see deep value I want to buy it. Conversely when things go well I feel is time to sell.

Dear Clem,
Well done on your massive return!
I spotted FCCN in December but, by the time I had some money to invest, my attention had gone elsewhere. In hindsight I can see it was a net net stock and I was stupid not to invest as soon as I could but nevermind. As a 22 year old with about 7 months’ experience investing I still have much to learn…
What I thought was really interesting in your article was the following line:
“When the stock comes good I now ride it till it is expensive rather than bail when it is no longer cheap.”
That’s really interesting because I know what I consider to be fair value for certain shares I’m in and always planned to sell then. Yet, having read that, I think to myself “Actually if they were undervalued when I bought, they could certainly become overvalued if I were to hold on for longer.”
Thanks for a superb article, and well done for covering a great share many people seem to have missed.
Kind regards,
Libero
