Disclosure: The author has a short position in one or more of the shares mentioned. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
As I have pointed out before, it is a very good discipline for investors, when looking at a company, to ask themselves what they would pay for the business before looking at what value the market ascribes to it.

Your dead on the money with this one …….. its a dog with fleas!
Pity the poor mugs that bought into this dog @ 210 p last year, giving it a market capitalisation of £325m. Two profit warnings later, even the shares @ 80 p still grossly overvalue the company at £127 million.
Its balance sheet is a disaster, its over indebted and its management don’t appear to be particularly sharp either. Given their appalling record since the IPO, I’d not give too much credence to the promises of the CEO that better times are just around the corner ……. “ we expect these actions to improve our cash generation and financial performance.” – Yeah, right!.
As for Speedy Hire, they would be better advised to sticking to sorting out their own problems before embarking on making acquisitions.
