Anyone who thinks that Worldview is going to pay more than a nominal amount for Petroceltic (PCI) shares, if indeed it bids at all, needs to read this. A source close to the situation tells me that $60 million of its $220 million of borrowings is now being hawked around the debt markets at just 35 cents in the dollar.

The BBM’s on this board are particularily bullish. they are convinced that the baseline price for a takeover is £2.30 because that is what dragon mulled over last year. they ignore the fact that dragon decided not to buy but also that the world is a different place now compared to then and that the company financial situation is totally different.
Not only do these morons think that £2.30 is the baseline bid per share but they actually think there will be a bidding war over this amount between worldview and tullow. its quite remarkable the level of delusion going on even by LSE standards. there are oil assets on sale all over the world as knockdown prices by desperate producers but yet they think this company is going to induce a ten bagger bidding war. Why on earth would they do so when the buyers are all under the financial cosh too? its a terrifying lack of understanding but they clearly genuinely believe it. poor sods.
