CEB

CEB to be suspended for weeks – but why has lying, rule breaking Dave Whitby not been fired?

Shares in CEB Resources (CEB) will now be suspended for weeks if not a couple of months because – as I pointed out here on Friday – it is about to undertake transactions that amount to a reverse takeover (RTO). But the big question is why has CEO Dave Whitby not been fired for wholesale rule breaches?

  1. we was all excited at the weekend talking of the big announcement and how rich we’d be ferrari or bentley. turned out its only a summary of last weeks podcast, got us all in a lather for nothing

  2. Whilst I make it clear that I am not making any accusations here , I would ask that Ben Turney and Doc Holiday make it clear on a statement on this site that they were not acting in concert with Mr Whitby with regard to recommending this share to readers of Mr Turneys and Mr Holidays articles and statements on this site and elsewhere .
Secondly , that they were not acting on inside information provided by Mr Whitby directly to them or via a private channel ( ie not in the public domain such as a pod cast )

I note with interest the following statement from Mr Holiday’s website dated September 2015 :-

“As of the 1st September (today) I shall be open to working on projects which create shareholder value and stimulate positive expectancy, this will not come from working as an IR/PR relation to a company but more open to discussion which leads to a winning formula. I anticipate some people will question this announcement and statement so for the avoidance of doubt I DO NOT work with or in any capacity formally with public listed companies currently but more importantly DON’T want to be ring fenced from considering an extended idea pathway which may-well lead to positive expectancy / returns. Having worked tirelessly for 5 years within the aim markets and much longer within the wider markets, I believe the winning formula is not to act as a conduit or mouth piece for companies but more offer a solution translation between the retail and corporate disconnect thus affording both worlds the opportunity to interconnect.

There will be NO paid for promotions nor will I deviate away from the current method of working within the markets as an out & out investor. I have found personally that remaining a lone voice in the face of prosperity or adversity as the crux to securing credibility which appears to be in scarce supply within the London Markets. I want to reiterate this is not to suggest things will change but more allows me to remain transparent to followers etc in my idea’s of helping to harness value for listed companies and its shareholders. During my time there have been many many offers to align me with certain operations within the City which in turn I have never felt compelled to engage however as time draws on I have passed up the opportunity of input as I’ve never felt there was the acceptance to do so. I now feel a sense of clarity which may enhance my ability to find solutions & success from my experiences.

I hope this message is open, clear and to the point. ‘’ Ultimately I’m an investor running a majority held (retail) Hargreaves Lansdown broking account looking to compound gains from a well structured strategy ‘’ which now involves the potential to engage ideas which lead to enhancement.

    All the best

    Doc”
    ENDS

Plain English translations of the above for a thicko like me would be most welcome .

  3. ‘‘I want to be ring fenced from considering an extended idea pathway which may-well lead to positive expectancy’‘

  4. drunken sailor

If Dave “who gives a fuck about AIM rules nobody enforces them anyway” Whitby is still there when CEB comes back from suspension, we will know that the AIM behind the scenes clean up operation is as big a scam as QPP and GBO combined.

  5. Tom

Its not as if the FCA are without the teeth to bite very hard any individual or organisation breaking the rules:-

Important message from the Financial Conduct Authority: Posting inside information that is not public knowledge, or information that is false or misleading, may constitute market abuse. This could lead to an unlimited fine and up to seven years in prison. If you have any information, concerns or queries about this, you can find out more by speaking to the Market Abuse team.

Why does it seem the FCA has some deep seated aversion in investigating wrongdoings and enforcing its own rules?

What would most of the general public think if the police acted in such a ‘laisse faire’ manner enforcing the law of the land as the FCA enforces its rules?

Come on FCA get your frigging act together!

  6. Wildes you were talking shite after the last lot of gin & tonic. This time you’ve been either at the glue or watching 9/11 conspiracy stories.

I don’t act for CEB in any capacity, other than believing the proposition & ideas Dave has were / are honourable.

Until proved otherwise I’m free to support the story and for the avoidance of doubt the SP is significantly higher than when it started unlike the Ritson shit I called down at 4p as it proceeded to lose 90%

I’ll test my case by stating one thing……

If anyone runs shotgun over private investors I’m all for flagging it up. And more so getting the truth out however statements here are plain antagonistic.

If I were a weak willed schmuck I’d take it your suggesting something disingenuous however the long track record of supporting on and fighting snake oil salesmen is there for all to see.

Like I say “ take up the pen and do a better job or pipe down “

  7. Alcira

The rules are 100% clear & DW clearly broke them. This is open & shut but will the FCA do anything?

    t

  8. Doc Holiday ………….. were you made an insider by virtue of Mr Whitby passing information too you that was not known to the market at the time ?

Ben Turney …………… same question ?

we can trade insults as long as you like……………… but why not just answer the question ……….yes or no ?

It seems possible to me that the article written by Mr Turney supporting CEB recently was so extra ordinary in its content and timing as to make this a legitimate question . Based on market knowledge at the time it seems inconceivable that an investment case could be made or even contemplated . However I am happy to accept both of your answers …….. simply as , Yes or No …….just let it be a matter of record…..yes or no . Thou protesteth to much .

I dont know what your point is regarding Mr Ritson , but I have traded LGO up and down for years ………. thats what I do …..trade . Its not material to me whether or not you consider it value for money at 4p or otherwise . I am simply interested in its patterns of direction and momentum and the timing of same.
It is of no interest to me wether or not you consider your mastery or otherwise of the English language superior to mine or not . This is a section for commentary and comment I shall , so long as the editor permits me that grace . If I get banned , then I get banned . I am not seeking to make any money what so ever from commenting or suggesting shares to invest in . You insult away if you wish ……….. it wont deter me from commenting if I wish .

Still interested in a plain English campaign translation of your 2015 September blog piece which seemed to me about as clear as mud ………. oh dear that’s a bit of a bitch slap ………….. perhaps I should rephrase that ? ……….left me somewhat confused as to your intentions.

    Hugs & Kisses
