Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
The entire spineless mainstream press were too cowardly to publish the Globo (GBO) bear report by Quintessential Capital Management last week or even to link into it. We were not and we published it in full on Thursday HERE and today the company has admitted that it is indeed a fraud, the CEO and CFO have quit and the shares stay suspended.

Well done Sheriff, another fraud busted.
I see the nomad has quit also, it will be at least a few weeks until suspension can be lifted here.

Fantastic result …………… another parasite company of the markets removed . Lawson totally discredited after this . He is another one who needs a few sessions at the Priory to discover the roll of acceptance and humility . Lets hope he gets the help he will need .

Just take the money and run – as do the auditors.

Grim news for shareholders but they could have taken your advice at any time over the past two years – or simply concluded that Matt Earl, Evil & Co are a lot smarter than most PIs. ShareProphets has been brilliant on Globo – even in its initial Buy recommendation!

I think it is time that the London Stock Exchange and its BoD started to take some pain regarding AIM.
I think we all accept that investors can lose money from falling share prices, this can be down to many things, bad business model, poor management etc….etc….. If however an investor has bought into a company which is a fraud I think the exchange should be held accountable. They have after all provided a venue for the fraudulent product to change hands. In any other industry there would be recourse, but not seemingly the Stock Market.
I would propose that anyone on the register at the point of suspension where a fraud is subsequently uncovered should be indemnified by the owner or operator of the exchange/market. This would have the added effect of putting in place enhanced scrutiny of its market by the operator and by default providing greater protection to investors.
The exchange should be compelled to take out insurance/PI cover in order not to default, if the premium and excess are too onerous the LSE would only have themselves to blame for poor controls (AIM Reg and the absurd NOMAD system) and for letting fraudulent companies trade on their market.
I bet the owners of Costis Papadimitrakopoulos shares are over the moon this morning.

Is the LSE anti-Winnifrith tide finally turning? The post with easily the most recommends re Globo this morning is from Jetman and reads:
Come on chaps, do the sensible thing, sign up to Shareprophets. TW has been warning about this company for ages & QPP & Naibu etc ad infinitum. If you read his articles, like me, you would not only make money but save it as well.
Mac
Well done Tom but I have to say it’s a real shame when the world we live in makes people heroes simply for stating the bleeding obvious.
All plaudits to Shareprophets and I’m glad this shitbag of a company has finally been outed but something is fundamentally and very badly awry when investors, advisors and LSE don’t ask questions that should have been asked years ago.
Like Quindell, Naibu, Camkids, Chaintek, blur, (etc, etc, etc…) Globo was a monster hiding in plain sight and it should have been called to task years ago.
Tom Gilbert
Those investigating this tawdry affair will no doubt beat a path to the door of former auditors BDO. They clearly tried to put up a warning flag with their resignation letter posted at the time, but this was equally clearly denuded of all meaning by Globo’s lawyers.
