When I heard that CEB Resources (CEB) CEO Dave Whitby was coming to the UK for a meet and greet with investors I thought, “here we go”. As much as I like the story and can see the opportunity in the Indonesian gas market, Whitby’s visit looked like a par for the course placement run. So confident was I that this was just another foreign executive coming over to tap into the seemingly inexhaustible British desire for resource-based pipe dreams, I bet cynically bet Doc Holiday a fiver that the company would place within a month of Whitby leaving. I was wrong. Serve me right for taking on the market mechanics maestro.

Seldom or never have I seen such a rampant piece of shite as this share . I dont understand it . Its got a bit of cash , a management team , plc costs and nothing . What makes it worth 7 mill . I must be very thick , very old or have dementure , or all three . Whats the point ? Surely its just a directors gravy train ? someone please enlighten me as to why this piece of shite is worth so much ? Call me old fashioned but I like my companies to actively do something , anything , that will give me hope that it might produce widgets one day and sell them for more than it cost to make them and make a profit . I am not in the business of funding peoples foreign travel arrangements or fulfilling their bucket list item number 16 ) mug and rape gullible shareholders . Just when I thought Ben was in full on flip mode , with not a sign of a flop or anything like a flop for months and months he goes and does this on me . For the love of god man ……. what are you thinking . Doc Holliday painted like a saint ……….. I think not . He writes what will make him money ……… full stop . If your not part of the solution to Aim momentum sillyness , then you are part of the problem . If its shite its shite ……….. ride the stupidness wave if you must , but dont write about it and leverage up the tectonic plate with a huge crow bar until you have a tsunami of idiot BB morons rampaging up the beach and over the beach defences , swamping the local investors and sucking them back on the rip , way back , out to sea never to be seen again …….alive anyway . Underwater forever.
I need a lie down ……….. wheres my meds .

@wildrides – that is exactly how I felt about it at the start, but I’ve been sold on the vision. I agree entirely about the valuation, it is extremely overstretched. I am also quite clear this company is going to need money. As I say, the question is whether it places before or after it secures assets. That’s why I wouldn’t touch it now.
However, once CEB has secured funds this could be a business that goes on to do surprising things. From what I’ve understood about the plan, this company is going to secure genuine assets in Indonesia rather than the window dressing crap of the overwhelming majority of similar companies in this sector in this market.
Perhaps I’m wrong and been sold a pup. If that is the case I will be very pissed off with myself (and the first to admit it). I’ve definitely let my guard down on this stock and CEO. However, as things stand I believe Whitby is going to deliver, but I’m not going to buy until the funding is sorted.

Wildes, please point me to the articles you have submitted?
There’s a reason and rationale, if it doesn’t suit you then that’s fine but there’s a very open forum in what I present..
It’s easy to find a negative in something, I tend to go down the route of trying to find legit winners whilst being happy to take the fight to blatant corrupt snot gobbling pigs, which I have done enough times not to have to rave about it in detail.
If we all had the same outlook the markets wouldn’t work at all ‘’ Sad fact of life ‘’
For the record 85% of the companies I have covered on SP.com I never held an investment in when submitting copy.

@wildrides – Doc makes an excellent point there. Let’s see the colour of your money!
Notwithstanding this little rant and your wild views on LGO Energy you often manage to throw together some vaguely coherent thoughts :-)
You should give publishing a go.

@wildrides – At the risk of pouring fuel on this fire, here’s Doc short call on LGO Energy at 4p – http://www.valuethemarkets.com/index.php/2014/06/09/leni-gas-oil-plc/

Ok Ok Doc’s a saint , sorry Doc , maybe a few too many after dinner G&T’s .
But I still think you ramp some right old shite from time to time , but I concede my shite may be different to your shite . We can agree to differ .Sorry . Yeah we can all kick chunks out of LGO ……… but they are at least trying to do well and 50 locals are trying with them and depending on them . The oil price is not their fault . The great plans of mice and men go awry. They are trying to adapt , make changes , move forward with new strategies for dealing with the low price ………… but all we get from dear old uncle Tom is they will be broke by Xmas based on historical cash burn and well output and no consideration that management make changes to enable survival if they are any good. It scares the shit out of share holders when its unremitting bias coverage day after day . Its not a fraud ………pick on something fraudulent that deserves such full on daily diatribe………. thats what I am saying regards LGO……….. give em a chance to stand up and clear the head before the next deluge of punchs start flying . Crisis management and fire fighting is hard and they need time to implement some new strategy .wildrides
P/s Forgot to say my stance :- Sell CEB and buy 88 Energy and keep the change .

Regretfully I note that the hot air injected into the turd CEB by the Holliday / Turney combine and others has resulted in a floater of some gigantic proportion . If you must indulge by following them in do take care and dont get spiked out . It really is a worthless piece of shite at this point in time . Buy LGO instead ………… its got producing assets …….the price is rising (0.46 to 0.66 for my most recent entry ) and a tiny loan ( ahem ) of 12 mill dollars . But dont worry , TRIN next door has just sold off it similar assets for substantial monies and become debt free , proving the assets LGO hold are saleable for good monies .
