Investment Case: Sector: “Mining”. Therefore, it is not a surprise that, having been above 100p just over 4½ years ago and 30p 2½ years ago, shares in what was Berkeley Resources, now Berkeley Energy (BKY), traded down towards 11p earlier this year. However, the last few months have seen a recovery to a current 21p offer price

Bloody hells teeth that guy Atherley is overpaid £350,000 including bonus ( which you know he is going to get , come hell or high water ) for that job . Its down right piggery at the trough .
The mines in spain …….. the Junta will be having a three or four year extended nap just when you need a permit for the staff outside loo water disposal pipe and associated 500 metre Dam for the settlement lagoon .
Uranium …………. FTE have tons of the stuff ………. trouble is its spread one micron thick over the entire continent of Africa and Northern Europe .
That heap leach system never works as specified …….. look at all the troubles Wetherly had at their mine …….. it nearly bankrupt them until they finally got the acid recipe right at the final hour . I doubt uranium will go up much ……… demand is low and there are plenty of stocks and recycling going on at plants like Sellafield.

I am shocked that after the Leyshon Resources debacle that Paul Atherley managed to get such a well paid job so quickly. He managed to destroy a lot of shareholders capital and made some very poor decisions in my opinion.
it seems very strange to back a Uranium miner. Nuclear power is not cost effective as the upfront costs to build a station are enormous. There must be far better value and management teams in the mining sector than this one.

Atherley was a disaster at Leyshon & got totally legged-over by the Chinese, for their Gold Mine. He was also quite partial to selling his own stock in the company, after a decent run in the share price – never a good sign in my view. Dr John Teeling may have a mixed reputation for his several Commodity Companies , but he has never sold a share personally.
