A difficult few days, I fancy, over at Cloudbuy Towers. Last week Chairman Ronald Duncan had a margin call from Equities First Holdings LLC (EFH) which prompted an RNS stating that Mr Duncan would settle in cash. Then on Wednesday of this week came an after-hours RNS stating that the Interims had been delayed. This morning AIM-listed Cloudbuy (CBUY) finally released those interims (which were not all that pretty) and then promptly followed up with the announcement that the Nomad had quit with immediate effect. Consequently the shares are now suspended. This has implications for Mr Duncan’s EFH package. It is hard to know where to start!

There you go ………..“never buy owt with cloud in the title”……….it came true. My next prediction is “never buy a company with Gold in its name” or one that is “trading in Russia “ or both at the same time.

Very kind of you not to suggest that Mr Duncan had engineered the suspension so that he could walk away from his EFH arrangement due to force majeure.
Based on your surmised timeline, Cloudbuy have had six weeks to find a replacement nomad. How long does it take?

Wild – there certainly is a cloud hanging over it at the moment! But perhaps some positive developments can turn it around.I certainly hope so.

D&D – it is well known that I’m a much nicer guy than the Sheriff! But I am a confirmed cynic – I hope you are not suggesting that you are worse than me on that score….
As for Nomad timing, I would be more inclined to think a little shorter period. If that is right, there could be an RNS on Monday and my wide-eyed naivety will be justified. Five weeks for due dil prob nor far off the mark there.
But I do wish the EFH thing could be kicked out altogether. How that happens I’m not too fussed, provided we then see some director buying as/when not prohibited by AIM Rules.

Following on from Wildes’ post, I have an issue with the gratuitous use of the word Solutions in company names too. There was a time it seemed to be ubiquitous: Dental Floss Solutions, Paper Napkin Engineering Solutions, Mesopotamian Reflexology Solutions, Blah Solutions, etc.!!
