Madagascar Oil (MOIL) had a busy week and that sees its shares now trading at 9.25p-10p, up on our tip at 9.25p (offer), but there is far more to come. Here’s why.

Thanks for your ongoing updates. Is there anyone in the HSR team that could identify why OBT is still very sluggish.
Best regards.

U must be insane. Madagascar is a mining and oil exploration investment graveyard. Even worse than Indonesia, and that’s saying something. Until the project is fully funded, wudnt touch wiv TW’s legendary “Bargepole”. (or so his Missus says).

Whenever I’ve got involved with a region which speaks French as a first language , in both a business (software development) and investing capacity , it has cost me dearly .
This has been true for both France itself and the useless part of Canada and I’m sure it’s more than likely true of French Protectorates too .
To quote Warren Buffett : “If you aren’t thinking about owning a stock for 10 years, don’t even think about owning it for 10 minutes.”

Depends on your strategy. Some like the long but ‘safer’ route, others see momentum trades, that can make/loss money extremely quickly. I have switched my strategy over the past couple of years to take on board more risk. Over the past decade I have achieved an average return of 10%, but it’s not the most stimulating of investing. So far the new venture is paying good returns, +25% ytd! And don’t forget, ‘blue chip safe stocks’ aren’t always that safe! WB invested Billions in Tesco, lost over 50% of it’s sp over the past couple of years! All stock investing carries risk. Best advice, invest in things that stimulate and interest you, invest in good management, and most important DYOR!
