There is an ugly lynch mob out there - led by Ben Turney - screaming "burn shorter burn". They think those who have opened a vast naked short in New World are evil City banksters & flippers who deserve to burn and who have deliberately wronged. The lynch mob is wrong. The "shorters" are just ordinary Joe Schmoes many of whom could be ruined by this. I ask the lunatic fringe to show compassion, to do what is best for the company but to go after the real villains of the peace. Show some humanity guys. Get real. And go for the real bad guys.

Tom, to try and help protect the poor little “shorters” in this saga I find ,especially coming from you, quite bizarre! What about the poor little pi who saw 50% loss on the announcement, do you think the poor little shorters gave a flying fuck about them when offered shares @.055p? No, the greedy fuckers wouldn’t have gave a shit about them, happily forward selling for their quick few %. Fuck em I say, the money pi’s have lost over these deals and the placees gains, it would be nice to see them burning to hell for once, great articles recently by yourself and others. But please, stop going soft on these fuckers who don’t care at all for anyone’s investments when being offered a quick flip for zero risk.

Live by the sword die by the sword, these people cost pi thousand of pounds a year, the best bet now, if trading goes ahead is to snap up as many MTR as possible, the should rocket if NEW rockets with easier trades available on MTR shares. These people if they had any compassion other than their greed, should have not forward sold their ill-gotten shares. Bring it on, 1p a share, dream day.

Didn’t get much confidence in Chris Oil’s stockpicking ability with his recent outpourings on Xtract resources never mind Sefton.
He seems to think the next rns will cause the market to value it at 50m when its main asset, according to the mine audit report on its own website gives the mine over its lifetime an NPV of about 0.5m and its CEO has admitted that it will at best provide a bit of positive cashflow for future projects.

I think the comments from the people on LSE say it all.. the biggest Karma you will receive is through your mouth and i think it’s quite possible from getting on you high horse as a complete hypocrite you deserve it… Lets see how it all plays out! X

I do have some sympathy for clients who have just given discretionary authority to their broker who may not even be aware that their broker is involved in forward selling or shorting a stock they thought they had just participated in a discounted placing on. Hopefully the broker takes the hit or is liable to the underlying investor for any losses over and above capital invested in those circumstances. It does highlight the risk that bears face relative to bulls so perhaps readers should consider that when considering motives for being bearish ~ they’d have to think stock was overvalued or masking fundamental weaknesses to risk the trade.
On the flip side if NEW is the focus of shady trading based on pure greed above placing discount then I hope they get utterly wiped without a smidgen of mercy.
