BP (BP.) was captured by a board that worshipped at the alter of woke GroupThink. It spent vast amounts on diversity initiatives. Its board of ethically and sexually diverse career managers, not folks who had ever risked their own capital as entrepreneurs but who all shared the same ideological lack of diversity would brook no dissent. And thus while shareholders had bought stock in a company they wanted to produce hydrocarbons the board bought into a metropolitan GroupThink and went green. Today there is a reckoning.
