Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
I am tempted. Knowing Union Jack Oil (UJO) there are bound to be some posh biscuits on offer at the AGM. And I have a 96 year old great aunt living there who I really do want to see. On the other hand…
It is an almighty schlepp to get down to Bristol and do I really want to invest in these worthless shares just for the pleasure of tormenting Davif Bramhill and his fellow troughers on the board. Local green MP Carla Denyer might be out on a Jew hunt compiling lists of folks who dare to buy Israeli goods: do I dare visit?
If trougher in chief David Bramhill had any sense he’d try to negotiate a graceful exit and payoff but, as I explained earlier, he and his fellow directors seem determined to trough it to the bitter end.
In that vein, and notwithstanding any historic friendship, his corporate career deserves an unpleasant and embarrassing end. And in that spirit I am tempted to buy a few shares just for the pleasure of helping that exit along and putting him on the spot about the company Porsche, his own expense account, executive greed, numerous QCA guidelines breaches and the money spent on corporate spooks to investigate and harass myself, fagash, fagash’s g/f and others.
Perhaps what may tilt me into going is if fagash wants to pitch up too and join in the fun, perhaps surreptitiously recording the humiliation of the board. Do any other readers own shares and plan to attend? Should I waste a day of my life trekking to the woke hell hole that is Bristol?
