Jobs, revenues and Robert Walters plc's dull update today

By Chris Bailey | Thursday 6 April 2023

Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.

It is a big week for jobs data. I know that almost all the markets are closed in the UK, Europe and the Americas tomorrow, but US non-farm payroll numbers are out (as they always are on the first Friday of every month). The current expectation is that the numbers will be a bit weak, hence why any fears about significantly higher US interest rates later this year have calmed down a lot. Something for the macro punters to comment about on Good Friday, but you can already see that the jobs sector is getting a bit trickier either side of the Atlantic. And that brings us nicely to today’s update from Robert Walters plc (RWA).
