Here in Greece it is a national holiday as we celebrate Holy Spirit Monday, the day 50 days after Easter when the Spirit came to the Apostles and urged them to spread the word of the Lord. Naturally that makes me think of devout Christian Julie "lingerie on expenses" Meyer who, herself, does her bit to spread God's word. I bet he is delighted about that.
Incidentally, until 1967 you Godless folks back in Britain celebrated this holiday as Whit Monday and the same was true in Eire up until 1973. But then in the name of progress it became the Spring Bank holiday, in order - no doubt - not to offend anyone other than Christians who are seen as fair game. As it happens Whit Monday on the Anglican calendar was last week but that is an aside. If you wanted a theology lesson you'd go straight to Julie Meyer.
Julie attends uber-posh evangelical church Holy TRinuty Brompton, HTB, where the pastor Nicky Gumbel is best known as the developer of the Alpha Course. And Julie constantly RT's Nicky to show just how devout she is.
Attacking whistleblowers and journalists, not paying staff, contractors and tax, running from the Police, I guess it is all part of how one "grows" as a Christian. Praise be the Lord.
