Today no-longer describing itself as “the leading UK focused retailer and manufacturer of PVCu replacement windows and doors for the homeowner market” as it did just yesterday, there’s a “Further Update on Process & Suspension of Trading”-titled announcement from Safestyle UK (SFE). How’s this then following I previously noting that, with its clearly dire negotiating position, it was good luck with its sale discussions!?
Previously writing on company describing itself as “the leading UK focused retailer and manufacturer of PVCu replacement windows and doors for the homeowner market” Safestyle UK (SFE), earlier this month with the shares down to 3p I reviewed how confident to really be for “an alternative financing structure” being sought and concluded this still a hope-prior-warnings-here-were-heeded sell. The shares most recently closed at 1.6p and today a “Process Update”-titled announcement, and what of the shares currently down to below 0.60p?!
A “Stakeholder Engagement Update”-titled announcement from company describing itself as a “leading UK focused retailer and manufacturer of PVCu replacement windows and doors for the homeowner market” Safestyle UK (SFE) includes “productive… discussions with both existing shareholders and other third parties… to support its recovery and help facilitate future growth”. So what of a current share price response down over 30% to 3p?
Most recently writing on windows and doors manufacturer and retailer Safestyle UK (SFE), in July with the shares slumping to around 10p I concluded that ‘the company reckons “the net cash position at the end of the year is still expected to be positive”, I reckon it is on trend for its borrowing facility to need to be ‘accessible’ and, even at a now down to £14 million market cap, at this juncture still avoid/sell’. Now a further “Trading Update”… and the shares further slumping from a prior close 8.3p to currently below 5p. What’s its update now?
Previously writing on “leading UK focused retailer and manufacturer of PVCu replacement windows and doors for the homeowner market” Safestyle UK (SFE), in March with the shares heading back towards 23.5p I questioned how confident on profitability now and concluded continue to avoid. Today an update from the company commences that it “expects to report H1 revenue of £74.0m, a decline of 5.4% on H1 2022, which is in line with our forecasts”… so what of a current more than 40% further lower share price response to around 10p?
Previously writing on windows and doors retailer and manufacturer Safestyle UK (SFE), last month with the shares at 23.5p I questioned how confident on the “return to profitability”? and concluded to avoid. The shares last closed at 29p but are currently heading back towards my previously noted price following full-year results.
Previously writing on windows and doors retailer and manufacturer Safestyle UK (SFE), in November with the shares falling back below 25p I concluded that I retained limited confidence on its outlook at that juncture and continued to avoid. The shares last closed at 23p, but are currently edging up today on the back of another trading update, so what’s the story now?
Previously writing on windows and doors retailer and manufacturer Safestyle UK (SFE), in September as the shares fell to 21.5p I concluded that ‘its high household energy costs environment confidence for its products is versus the consumer spending pressures and “consumer confidence levels at a 40-year low”. As such, I remain highly cautious here at this juncture and continue to avoid’. The shares last closed at above 30p but are currently falling back below 25p following a “trading update”.
Writing on windows and doors retailer and manufacturer Safestyle UK (SFE) last month with the shares lower towards 36p I concluded suggesting the half year results statement this month wasn’t going to be good and still avoid / sell. Now the half-year results...and the shares currently lower to 21.5p.
Windows and doors retailer and manufacturer Safestyle UK (SFE) has announced the grant of share options to CEO Mike Gallacher and CFO Rob Neale under its ‘2017 Performance Share Plan’, arguing it “incentivise the Executive Directors to deliver both earnings and share price growth”. So what of this at a current 30.8p share price?
