Red Flags at Night – Michelmersh Brick Holdings plc

I don’t have any detailed knowledge of what Michelmersh Brick Holdings plc (MBH) does, although I guess the clue is in the name. But I do know that slipping out bad news – a large director share sale - at 5.24pm, no-one-is-watching o’clock is a bit of a Red Flag, especially when the shares are up about 28% since January and the company earlier in the day announced seemingly very good H1 results.

ECOB reminds me of OPTI (although the scale of announcements are far greater and have actual numbers attached). I've viewed both businesses as having a interesting product and plausible business model but neither have actually delivered on that.How is ECOB picking up these contracts? They are so diverse, both geographically and it terms of languages spoken etc - where is the common thread that enables them to deliver these? It doesn't strike me that they would likely have a expansive international sales operation.I'd be a lot more comfortable if they were getting more projects off ground in Albania and the wider Balkan region as they would be able to technically and operationally serve such projects much more easily and really prove out the product.
