LoopUp Group – 2017 results emphasise “ahead of market expectations”… but what’s already in the price?

Remote meetings technology group LoopUp (LOOP) has announced results for the 2017 calendar year, emphasising “we are very pleased to report continued strong business performance ahead of market expectations at all key P&L levels. Our track record of consistent revenue growth in excess of 30% has been maintained, gross margins have improved further and LoopUp EBITDA has grown by 161%”. EBITDA is though, of course, bullshit earnings so what’s the real story…

LOOP

LoopUp – review as shares sparked by ‘ahead of expectations’ trading update

I looked at remote meetings technology group LoopUp (LOOP) just after the company’s August IPO – concluding, with the shares at 112.5p, that the valuation in conjunction with usual IPO and growth risks saw me avoid, but that I’d monitor with interest. The shares closed yesterday at exactly the same price as then – but are currently approaching 13% higher today, at 127p, on the back of a trading update announcement…

LOOP

LoopUp Group – shares to loop up or down following AIM IPO?

“LoopUp Group plc (LOOP), a global software-as-a-service provider of remote meetings, is pleased to announce… admission of its ordinary shares to trading on the AIM market… The reception from investors… reinforces our belief that our differentiated product, business model and plans for the future provide the foundation needed to deliver on our potential as a public company”. With the shares currently at 112.5p, up from a 100p admission price, let’s take a look…

With cash at €1.3m three months ago and very little income to report - plus of course the non-arrival of the promised €6.3m deposit from Chile as the touted €400m Solhabit contract has been delayed for review - this outfit needs cash. With the first phase of the Albanian project allegedly due to complete this quarter, ECOB don't appear to have received any stage payments yet, which seems odd.Margins are dwindling which is a red flag. €2.2m already sounds too cheap for all the walls of an 18-unit apartment block so profit is far from guaranteed.Global expansion plans seem way overblown and the UK business ramp sounds far-fetched given the regulatory barriers here.Notwithstanding the years of promotion by Shareprophets, ECOB seems incapable of generating any shareholder value. Belief and trust among the great unwashed are clearly in suspension with the BBs now deserted.I've got a bridge to sell you.

ECOB will either by jam today by Christmas or CG has been telling the most monstrous porkies. I believe its the former but I can understand why others dont. If its the former I multibag, if the latter i lose my money. Its attractive on a risk reward basis on that level

Au contraire, Joshua is a boy of colour. Id imagine that in the jobs free zone of the 2030s there will be no end of shoe-ins for him if he speaks Welsh in the burgeoning Government, NGO and media sector here in Cymru

After my experience with Minoan and skins I am very wary of Jam tomorrow Companies. Each investor must make their own judgement. If the stock market crash ( predicted for the last x years) happens then any Company with no visibly of earnings and a stretched balance sheet will be crushed.

You are the last person who would know anything about statistics, accurate ones anyway. Something like 90% of those who came from outside the EU in the 'Boris Wave' are claiming benefits. You don't have to go far anywhere on the internet to see migrants boasting about coming here for the welfare benefits. Here are some accurate stats for you. 6.6 million people claiming out of work benefits and only approx' 780000 jobs, a number which will only fall due to AI and Labour's trashing of the economy. There are almost no legitimate jobs for migrants here. Regarding NEETs these are the people we need to train up not migrants many of who have no education and no ability to speak the language, you cannot train the untrainable.

I wouldn't bother to learn Welsh, a useless language unlike all others, if I were you, it will waste so much of you time other than to get your lad into cult, sorry school. Better to suck it up once a month and listen to all that BS sanctimonious crap at the church.

Mathieson needs to be in jail as much for his own protection as others because one day he might well pick on someone who is not a nice as you Tom, someone who doesn't bother with the court system if you know what I mean. I've never seen anything quite like this, any shred of credibility he may once have had is well and truly gone.
