Writing on FTSE 100 “global omnichannel retailer of sports fashion brands” JD Sports Fashion (JD.) in February with the shares at 81p I concluded ‘I’m still wary of the company’s trading trajectory and outlook, I presently retain the view that has served well from when the shares were previously up towards 97p and still currently avoid’. The shares most recently closed at 93.46p but what about now a “trading statement” and the shares currently back to 80p?
FTSE 100 “global omnichannel retailer of sports fashion brands”, JD Sports Fashion (JD.) has followed a “Q4 2025/26 Trading Update” announcement with now a “Launch of new £200m share buyback programme” announcement. What about these with the shares currently at 81p?
FTSE 100 “global omnichannel retailer of sports fashion brands”, JD Sports Fashion (JD.) has issued a “Q2 Trading Statement” headlined “Focused execution against our strategic objectives; announcing further £100m share buyback” and initially highlighting “improved LFL sales trend for Q2 in North America”. The shares have currently responded up towards 97p, but what of that still comparing to above 150p within the last year?
Most recently on ‘sports, fashion and outdoor brands’ international retailer JD Sports Fashion (JD.), in November, despite the shares then more than 10% lower towards 100p, I wrote ‘emphasises “well positioned for peak season”… but even with that only expects ‘lower end of guidance range’!’, concluding still just on the watchlist. Today an update from the company titled “Robust trading performance in a challenging market”, so why a current more than 7% further lower share price to around 90p?
“Sports, fashion and outdoor brands” retailer JD Sports Fashion (JD.) has issued a trading update for its third quarter to 2nd November 2024 headlined “Strong margin management in volatile market; well positioned for peak season”. So what of a current share price response more than 10% lower towards 100p?
