In this crazy world where one cannot criticize a shitco if it has some Moslem shareholders, I will probably – yet again – be branded a sexist beast for pointing out that anyone buying shares in Lorna Blaisse run Helium One (HE1) is stark raving mad. You can feel the diversity if you want to but you will pay for it with your hard earned.
I do not wish to rain on Peter Brailey’s parade as a centrepiece of his ShareStock presentation on Saturday will be the helium bubble and companies that are going to implode. However, Helium One (HE1) has today announced drilling results.
Helium One Global (HE1) is one of those companies that seemingly couldn’t do a better job of shooting itself in the foot, if it was actually trying to!
Until this week, our own in house bulletin board obsessive and all round loon Magna Carta was leading the “readers tips” contest thanks to his pick of Helium One (HE1) as a long. Now he and morons everywhere are crying into their cornflakes after a hugely discounted placing has sent the shares crashing. Ooops.
Well knock me down with a frigging feather. As flagged up in bearcast yesterday, Helium One (HE1) has undertaken a placing raising £4.7 million at 1.5p. As the prior placing around Christmas was at just 0.25p one should give praise where praise is due to CEO Lorna Blaisse but with respect to Lorna the statement stinks.
Helium One Global (HE1) has been a great example of why the rewards of holding for an exploration drill result by a small natural resources company is rarely worth the risk these days.
Okay, Lorna did not win anything this year and in fact lost investors stacks of money. While Stuart Broad had a year of glory that will go down in history that is not the point and so following in the footsteps of that bird from Milestone who lied about a fund raise, this year’s AIM Personality of the year is ….Lorna Blaisse of Helium One (HE1). Cripes how Lorna has fucked things up but we are told that these days we should ignore that and celebrate more boardroom diversity.
Despite the way that people are trying to spin things on social media, the helium One Global (HE1) latest drill was a failure and didn’t yield any free gas from the target zones.
Helium One Global (HE1) is always one of those companies that attracts a lot of attention around drilling as helium is a commodity that is in-vogue, and the amount of prospective resources is large.
It’s been over a year since I last took a look at Helium One (HE1), and during that time the shares have more than halved from the level where I flagged it as a company to avoid.
Helium One Global (HE1) seems to be yet another in a long line of natural resources exploration companies that got way ahead of itself in terms of both shareholder and management expectations, before coming crashing back to earth when actual drilling gave it a reality check.
I’m always happy to take a look at companies at the request of ShareProphets readers, one of whom recently contacted us asking if we would have a look at Helium One Global (HE1).
