GELN

GELN

Gelion – “successful completion of drone mission testing”, how material?

Describing itself as “seeking to replace the critical minerals in current lithium-ion battery cathodes with its Nano-Encapsulated Sulfur, a low-cost cathode active material made from abundantly available sulfur, that can be deployed within existing global manufacturing lines”, Gelion (GELN) has announced “Successful completion of drone mission testing”. What about this with the shares currently more than 5.5% higher, at 19p, in response?

GELN

Gelion – “pleased to announce” a joint development agreement, what about a full-year financial update?

Describing itself as “an advanced battery materials company developing next-generation cathode technologies”, Gelion (GELN) has issued a “Funded development and scale-up agreement”-titled announcement which emphasises this “adds another major global Tier-1 partner to the company’s collaborators that will bring further commercial traction with OEMs”. What about it from a currently approaching 20p share price, around £45 million market cap?

GELN

Gelion – proposed discounted equity fundraising and still more funding to be needed this year? (despite its accompanying ramptastic announcements)

Most recently writing on AIM-listed company describing itself as a “global energy storage innovator” (hmmm, a costly area to ‘innovate’ in!) Gelion (GELN), last month with the shares above 10p I concluded ‘ahead of now even closer yet another attempted fundraising ahoy, avoid/sell’. The company today has announced “Factory Acceptance Test Complete & First Revenue” and “Breakthrough Sulfur Test Results and MTA agreed” titled announcements, though with also “Proposed Placing, Subscription & Retail Offer” – quelle surprise!

GELN

Gelion – interims emphasise “significant technical and commercial progress”, but now running out of cash at a very bad time?

Most recently on Gelion plc (GELN), last month I wrote on a “GEN 3 Sulfur Cathode viability update” from it that its shares had responded more than 27% higher to above 15p, but the announcement ramptastic? Avoid/sell. The shares most recently closed at 11.5p and what about now results for the company’s half-year ended 31st December 2024, with it emphasising this “a period in which the company made significant technical and commercial progress, including signing commercial orders to generate revenue and gross margin to be recognised in the second half” but the shares currently responding further lower to below 10p?

GELN

Gelion – “GEN 3 Sulfur Cathode viability update”. Ramptastic?…

International cash burner (Oops, I meant “Global energy storage innovator”), Gelion (GELN) has issued an announcement headlined “Gelion's GEN 3 Sulfur Cathodes Viable for Full Solid-State Batteries” and that “development allows Gelion to potentially offer a solution across the liquid, semi-solid-state and solid-state technologies, targeting an even wider range of applications”. The shares have currently responded more than 27% higher to above 15p, but the announcement ramptastic?

GELN

Dr Graham Cooley joins Gelion, is that really such a catch?

I cannot see any reason to own shares in Gelion (GELN) but perhaps I am missing something? Feel free to enlighten me. Today it has announced the appointment of Dr Graham Cooley as NED boasting that “Dr Graham Cooley brings a wealth of relevant experience and knowledge to the Gelion Board through his background in the power, energy storage and hydrogen sectors over more than 35 years.” Hmmm.

GELN

Gelion – argues its fundraise “will help us drive forward our goal of integrating… into global supply chains”. Er, how much really so?…

Gelion (GELN) “is pleased to announce… due to further demand in the accelerated bookbuild process… increased the size of the placing and subscription to approximately £1.57 million… at an issue price of 15 pence per new share”. That is with CEO John Wood having argued the new funds “will help us drive forward our goal of integrating Gelion's technologies into global supply chains… We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our shareholders and are pleased to welcome new investors joining us in this fundraise”. So what of this and a currently unchanged 17.5p share price?

GELN

Gelion – “Produces Solid-State Separator”, again attempted ramptastic?

Self-described “battery innovator” Gelion (GELN) has announced what CEO John Wood emphasises as “an important milestone in unlocking the full potential of sulfur-based batteries, contributing to the global electrification revolution”. Er, what of the shares currently more than 2.5% down at 19p in response then?

Gold Fields are apparently looking at a bid for Northern Star so maybe that’s going to kick of some takeovers in the sector.

Trump's new Greenland deal sounds suspiciously like a good old Mafia protection racket. 'Nice restaurant/bar/store you got there. Pity if anything happened to it. We can protect you'. Whatever. I see a possible alternative scenario for Amaroq. It's a Canadian based company (red flag for Trump). There's now a veto on non-USA investors. This would presumably prevent fresh Canadian money going in, so let them get the big boys in from south of the border ponying up for expansion. Maybe a lucrative takeover by a USA gold miner? I declare a interest. I bought in August at 106.29p after following this website. I also bought Pan African Resources at 110.45p with a divi of 2.99p coming in December. Both holdings doing well.
