The Admirable Creighton is Back on Course with some Admirable Half-year Numbers

Hello, Share Pullers. It’s been a few moons since I looked at Creightons (CRL). This is a stable company making everyday stuff like car deodorants, beauty products and suntan. It sells a lot of it to some big supermarkets. The share dipped by 90% a good few years ago now. Then it slowly struggled back to par at about 10p. Then it rose to nearly 45p...

CRL

Creightons - a penny share buy

Having exceeded 40p in 2017, shares in Creightons (CRL) fell to below 20p early this year following a trading update including that “the group has outsourced supply of some branded products lines. This has impacted upon the profit margins of these lines. Therefore, the board has concluded that the full year profit before tax is likely to be marginally lower than last year”. However, that was because of “demand out-pacing capacities in our factories ahead of planned expansion in manufacturing capacities”...

The 'Problem' which Destabilised Creightons' Shares Seems Like an Encouraging Sign to Me

Hello Share Shavers. One of my all-time big successes has been Creightons (CRL), the pocket company which does things to make your car smell better, fake suntans and so on. It wasn’t much more than a penny a throw at one of its darkest stages. Then the City finally woke up to its sterling performance and the share reached 45p. But you have to know when to say enough is enough and I sold a large lump of my shares at 43p. I wish I’d dumped the lot because they fell to 24p.

Three Penny Shares I Have High Hopes For

Hello, Share Peekers. Like some of mine, your shares are probably making some real money in this continuing bull market. But will it keep going? My own view is that it will, bolstered by the fabled Santa Rally. But watch out for the New Year Party hang-over. And even then, selected penny shares will keep on rising, as they often do when the Footsie carnival falters. Here then are some of my favourite small cap jewels, one of which has already boosted my bank balance big time. And I believe that it, and the other two selections, have further value waiting in the wings.

Here Are Three Perky Shares Which I Think Will Do Even Better Now

Hello Share Scorchers. There are still quite a few of our regular readers who can only glean the first paragraph of each article. Just to save less than £1.50 a week. Don’t they realise they would retrieve thousands of pounds just by following our warnings about dodgy cpmpanies they might otherwise stay with till the very end? I can’t understand human nature, and never will.

CRL

Crikey Creighton! You Carry On Collecting Cash.

Hello Share Trundlers. Some of my colleagues on this wondrous website may not agree with me, but I think a full listing on the stock exchange is worth more, for peace of mind, than the hit and miss world of AIM. I am especially encouraged if the fully listed firm is a true minnow. And I give today for your further research, Creightons (CRL).

The Admirable Creightons Is Set to Get all My Dough Back.

Hello Share Nudgers: Many, many years ago I was persuaded by a good friend to invest in Creightons (CRL). You probably haven't heard of them – they're so small and usually moribund. They have a market cap of just £2m. They make soaps, fragrances and toiletries, such as things you put in cars to make them smell a bit better.

Ocado has had a very good run over the last 3 months and is up nearly 80%. It’s off a bit and any general market sell off is going to hit anything considered a tech stock especially hard. I’d say it looks a good call to short.

Why worry about France 10 year 4.92% today, having a better day ( avoided a downgrade) at the same time the basket case seems to be UK 10 year 5.35% and that is before the budget.German 10 year 3.37%.Everything seems to be a worry. Is it the nights drawing in and the rainy/stormy weather? The heating going on after a glorious summer, adds to costs! It starts to feel like cash is king and dividend paying stocks is the place to be.Though the government might increase the tax companies pay on dividends, decreasing the value of dividends paid to shareholders, a socialist government would claim it only effects the rich.Stocks and Shares ISAs in the UK stands at approximately £531.2 billion if dividends are £25 billion a year a 10% increase on dividends before they reach your ISA would raise £2.5 billion.I would not put anything past these socialist bastards.

"The big banks / financial system are healthy now"With $40T from the Fed balance sheet and similarly frightening amounts elsewhere in the Western economies all dependent on "the confidence of strangers" I'd say that is quite the assumption. With talk of a potential bail out for France, the ECB is damned if it does, or doesn't. A big domino to topple.

Was there not there an article from Tom suggesting that if the market tanks that gold would also follow ( albeit less so and for a shorter period ). Based on that advice, and looking at charts, surely the best advice is to be in cash, certainly in the short term, earning a good interest payment. There is a distinct possibility that interest rates are exactly where they should be ( normal levels ) and will be for a while ( if not higher ). It was an anomaly having them where they were after the gfc. The big banks / financial system are healthy now, that's the big difference. I'll be watching Berkshire Hathaway and decide what to do when they start to reduce their cash reserves in a meaningful way.

Nigel you should offer your services to American Media channels. You can appear on these channels and be completely wrong and no one ever asks you when you are interviewed on the next occasion why you were wrong. The prominent gold expert and financial author who projected gold reaching $10,000 per ounce around the end of 2026 or mid-2027 is Jim Rickards (author of Currency Wars).First it was dec 2026 now he has shifted it to mid 2027 .( We shall see )
