Thank you for bringing us this Tom. This is the content I am here for. This and your exposés of those for whom "the golden age of fraud" has provided an ounce (or maybe a few tons) too much temptation.I was taught economic fundamentals in the late '80s by a generation of financial savants who rolled their eyes at the breakdown of the Bretton Woods accords they themselves learned the value of. Ever since we have been sowing the seeds for what must now inevitably follow.Cheap money creates asset bubbles, and a light-headedness like no other.
"Add a more hands off regulatory environment to the mix and you have about as permissive a backdrop for financial excess as I can remember."- do your job FCA.
He's a nasty piece of work, that's for sure but he's just a bully. Note, he has to 'hide' in the Philippines and daren't come to UK!If he was a real man he would challenge you in court, in UK, with proper lawyers etc. and not resort to snide and defamatory remarks on a private board. What I can't understand is why he bothers? This, after all, is a private, subscribers only message board and by-and-large the membership are your supporters so whatever rubbish he posts on here is not going to change anything. Does he post this crap anywhere else? I wouldn't think he'd be so stupid as to post it on X or FB.Anyway, BuriedTreasure sums it up perfectly in his post below.Keep up the good work, Tom.

I don't know what to say.How can any individual be so dumb to imagine that he can publicly insult / defame another individual without consequences?I'm just gobsmacked that such a nasty numpty actually exists.Don't let the Cadbury's Fruit & Nut case get you down Tom. He isn't worth it.
Fully agree Tom - trouble is it's not how much money you have to spend, it's how you spend it. My view is the welfare system needs totally dismantling and starting again from scratch. Then, make it quite clear that "asylum seekers" (I preferred The Seekers with Judith Durham) will get the very bare minimum - and immediate deportation if their claim is rejected. Burnham was typically Labour attacking the weakest first in his speech by wanting to dismantle the Triple Lock, although my financial head says it can't last ad infinitum so fair play to him there. We are in total shitland but it will take politicians with some spine to tell us the truth (for once) and get us out of it. All this spending of toilet paper money only firms the investment idea in gold, silver and mining shares though. At the end of the day they will be the only things of any value left.
