EMED Mining (EMED) has announced that it has completed its application for a mining permit for its Rio Tinto copper project and is “confident that it will receive the mining permit before year end”. Together with restoration plan approval (the final plan having gone through public consultation, with approval “expected within the coming weeks”), these are the final permits needed to allow full scale mining operations to recommence.

This just goes to show how long it takes for anything to happen in Europe .
I.E. about 5 years during which Spanish youth employment has been over 50% .
The UK is not much better . Dart Energy’s coal bed methane planning application in Airth which was supposed to be processed in 6 months will have taken a minimum of 30 months to reach a decision .
You’ve got to admire the American’s for their ability to get things done .

Tom has been ramping this spanish based enigma for about 3 years now . 30pence targets used to be mentioned but these days those targets have gone down and down . After all Toms crit of TYM this tip has performed far far worse . The price is very low now and yet they are still going to need to do a mega placing to pay all those 220 staffs wages and cap ex on plant start up costs . I am in at 6.5 but fully expect it to go lower yet and require an average down, so my entry was modest accordingly .
