I was sitting at Real Man Pizza at noon yesterday awaiting my guest, Dave Breith of Coms (COMS). At 12.30 I tried calling to see where he was. His PA called me to say he was off sick and apologising for his second last minute let down in 3 weeks – I do want to meet the guy. As we now know Breith was not sick. That was a lie born out of apparent monumental incompetence at his firm.

Amazing how it often is the bulletin-board favorites that turn out to be dodgy.
I wonder how these shares turn out to be so “active” on BBs. Why does COMS with a market cap of £50M such an active following, while few people seem to care about most other AIM shares (e.g. FDP £190M, GVC £275M, RWS £350M and many others)?
Anyone have any ideas? It is that these companies are more dodgy? Or are they under closer scrutiny? Did they promote more? I am intrigued actually.

True, it’s not great….but Tom didn’t you get your numbers wrong when you wrote the first article a few weeks back?

Yup & I did a correction – link is attached in piece.
I do not have a finance department & auditors to check my copy! And I am not putting out articles to get you to buy shares in TomWinnifrith Inc!
“not great” is an understatement. It is a total FFing shambles

I object to your use of “bird” in point 2.
wildrides
I object to the name of a rolling tobbaco called
“Thatchers Old Shag , Ready Rubbed “
But only on the grounds it was disrespectful to Dennis, who I thought a very funny man !

I believe its all down to having a charismatic leader , be it CEO or Chairman . All the popular BB shares seem to have them . But please dont think I mean “good” . They could be a snake oil salesman or genuinely good like David Braith . I invested in Coms first by just following him in to the company because of his ability to turn stuff around . This debacle is really a human error by some other people in the organisation ….like Tom said , the checking and balancing in the accounts function . I used to work in management accounts and I can tell you that it is very common this type of error . What is not common is that usually an internal audit in the companies own department picks it up prior to publication during cross checking processes !

It shows as I am sure when you said Ben you meant been. Well why don’t you buy some shares and go to the agm, not long to go.

I think you mean point 2 in this article?

You may object all you want to me talking about birds. If you want a publication that does not use politically incorrect terminology and lines from The Sweeney ( original version) might I recommend The Guardian?
If on the other hand you are looking for hard hitting financial analysis and breaking news, you may be disappointed with what the Guardian serves up.
Its swings and roundabouts.
I am not going to be changing my style whatever

I would change the auditors too…

Try going to another restaurant. That one is no good, which might be the reason he gave the lame excuse.

Aerostar
You arsehole as it happens he has emailed me this afternoon asking to come back, Possibly for the great food or possibly because there is a queue of AIM CEOs keen to meet the Sheriff..he joins a long line

B Sanderson
Great he emailed so why didn’t you let us know until the previous poster comment?
Tom W
BS ( apt initials incidentally)
As far as I now I am not obliged to give you all an hourly update of my forthcoming diary engagements am I?
Breith emailed late afternoon but I thought Id have a few hours break watching a very interesting documentary about air to air combat in the Vietnam war and chatting to the Mrs and my cats.
So I have only recently seen his email.Do you want an update in when we meet? What flavour pizza he orders?
Get a grip Man!

TW,
Many thanks! I just thought since you normally can’t wait to tell us the latest goings on, we would have heard not in a response to another poster but you updating the article. You are very kind to let us know what pizza he orders, hopefully he will do a review for you on tripadvisor.
Tom W
BS
I tell you what I want to tell you. I keep a lot quiet.
Am sure that having been there Breith will give a genuine and truthful review. The myriad of fake damning reviews from BB Morons on Tripadvisor do not appear to be working. Since they started sales at Real Man have gone up sharply. Folks who believe in free speech come, first on principle and then come back because the food is great.
Free speech will not be supressed and I will not be silenced by cretins like you.
T
B Sanderson
TW I am not a cretin btw nor am I trying to silence you or stop you in anyway. I agree it’s bad you get fake reviews, so my comment he should write a review was not said in a spiteful way.
And hopefully the interview you have with him will allow him to clear up everything.

It seems from a quick analysis of the figures that none of the numbers themselves have changed – it is just that they have ‘realised’ that EBITDA should be stated before a big finance credit, and been ‘confused’ as to whether profits / losses on sales of fixed assets are included or not.
So (much as it pains me) in this instance I can’t see that it is the purchase ledger clerk, the sales ledger team, the financial controller that should shoulder the blame – this sits squarely at the desk of the FD.
Keep up the good work BTW.
Best wishes
Jon
