Hello Share Movers. There are more jobs in Britain than there ever have been. Quite an amazing fact, don’t you think? When you consider that we all once expected a sci-fi future full of labour-saving devices.

Record jobs doesn’t tally with Uncle Tom’s dystopian vision so could the numbers be artificially inflated?
PS. I will be mystified if this comment is published since a considered response to your WPP/advertising piece on Saturday hasn’t appeared.
TW Note guess you pressed wrong button, no WPP comment from you seen for approval over w/ewildrides
Funny thing happened recently ……. an old fuddy duddy like me looks in the local paper every week and used to comment every week to “err in doors” on how few jobs are available for the out of work . That was until a month ago when my son was looking for a gap year job before returning to Uni for a piled on course . He signed on the Jobcentre plus site for our local town and searched for jobs ( all types ) in a ten mile radius ( this is a town in the frozen North , so called welfare safari ) Much to my complete amazement he came of the computer with 31 pages of jobs and I would say probably about ten per page . I nearly fell off my perch and have had to re adjust my thinking to account for how this countries modern workforce hunt for jobs these days . He said all the big agencies like REED advertise on Job Centre plus and so you only have to look in one place . I can only assume it must be free for recruiters or much cheaper than newspapers advert rates .
Anyway , my “map of the world” is readjusted to account for this new ( to me ) information that we deffo do have full employment in this country for those who want / need to work . Otherwise there would not be so many posts advertised .
