FFWD

Tom Winnifrith's share tips of the year Number 4 - Sell Fast Forward Innovations at 17p

A reader posted on our comments section: "Ive also just bought into FFWD. Tom why can't you tip this for 2016 instead of repeat tips on OPTI and NIPT?" Hmmm well I am sure that Optiobiotix shares will race ahead ( 100p + within weeks after the next deal is announced) and that Premaitha will announce new contracts and that it is passed the inflexion point of cash breakeven soon and that its shares will head to 30p+. That is why I tip them as buys. You want me to tip shares that will go up ,right? But your wish is my command and so I will also tip FastForward Innovations. But as a sell at 17p.

  1. Tom. Believe you took some coin in its ipo? At £7m mcap that’s about 7x nav. Them coin chaps must be clever more clever than Mellon an Buffett combined. Or are you the stupid one? Don’t tell me coin have trading income revenues.

  2. I reckon value of COIN’s investments c 3m so NAV is £4m. so multiple 1.75 toppy i agree. but expecting big uplifts in NAV over next few months so took a small dabble – just getting a touch of bitcoin exposure. would rather pay 1.75 times nav then 5 times esp as I do not rate DBC at all

  3. Tom, coins two main investments are the same as the FFWD ones that you so conveniently missed from your appraisal above being Factom & Satoshipay. Difference being FFWD actually at this stage holds a greater percentage.
If you look at the other COIN investments they are minor amounting to less than £400k.
Given you waxed lyrically about COINs prospects which in the main will depend on FACTOM/SATOSHIPAY I think you have either been sold a dud or your appraisal of FFWD is flawed?
Read COINs Admission Document NAV is nothing like £3m, the post above that states 7x NAV is a bit on the top side but its closer to 6X.
COIN does not have Lorne Abony either who you again forget to mention or the ability to raise cash to Lorne Abony’s friends. Look at FFWD last placing not a flipping share to be had, all placed with high net worth Californians.
You are wrong on FFWD and seemingly a fool if you think COIN which you must think is a buy for investing in it is a better vehicle for Bitcoin Blockchain exposure than FFWD.
A lazy article is my only summary of your piece.
Have a good new Year anyway, we are all allowed to make mistakes.

  4. Tom this extract is so lazy;

The biggest investment – bought from another Mellon company – is a stake in the Daibetic Boot Company a long time Mellon fave that has bee promising an AIM IPO but not delivering for ages. The FDA has just cleared its boot for those diabetics with foot ulcers. You get such ulcers at a very late stage of type 2 diabetes and there may be a market for DBC but it is unproven. This is all blue sky. The company has four other unlisyed investments according to its website. – See more at: http://www.shareprophets.com/views/17640/tom-winnifrith-s-share-tips-of-the-year-number-4-sell-fast-forward-innovations-at-17p#sthash.3XxpOixl.dpuf

    ———-

The other four investments include VEMO that is the largest not DBC. Two of the others are also the cornerstone investee companies of COIN that you rate highly but strangely FFWD holds more of Factom & Satoshipay.

You can’t write an article like that with so much one sided bias when you wrote such a glowing article on COIN three weeks previous, it makes you look an idiot.

  5. Coin may well be overvalued, I am NOT tipping it. What I am saying is that FFWD is vastly overvalued and you have done nothing to disprove this..

  6. Tom are you still sweet on your sell on FFWD? I think you’ve made a mistake on this one and should have another look again, because on paper it could be one of the biggest winners of 2016, you could be right at this point with your valuations, but look what they’ve invested in, looks good to me and many others, all i ask is double check, as you said many times let the trend be your friend.

  7. Tom how is coin doing me old china? You backed the wrong Fintech investment play there fella. I tried to explain to you the other week if you thought this was overvalued coin was doubly over valued.

Looks like you are wrong at this stage FFWD goes from strength to strength but you don’t get it but your clever mate JM does.

On a serious note I do wish you a successful 2016 and keep up the overall good work! We are all aloud the odd mistake!

TW Note - price does not equal value, we shall see what happens long run. I never tipped COIN. I have my reasons for owning a very few
