DUCK AND DIVE
Just because the owner wants to sell something, it doesn’t mean it’s shite. Are all IPOs shite? I think you will find that most people sell things because they want/need cash, not because they’re shite. Or maybe because they want to retire, or die.
Not that I’m arguing for or against Sefton as I have already trousered £50k thanks to Desperate Dan’s fandango.

Duck and Dive,
I think the point is more that if it is any good then there will be a number of parties interested and you won’t get it on the cheap. If the asset is cheap and only a small AIM co is interested in buying it, that hardly suggests it is much good!
DUCK AND DIVE
Gary, I’m not sure that we know whether anyone else is interested…or even whether the owner is sophisticated enough to market it properly.
But you may be right. And you may not.

Lets face it ………. its just a day trader or brief ( a few weeks ) swing trader . Its shite ………. it always has been shite , and it always will be shite . Water off a Ducks back , Duck , but your 50K is some nieve punters spiked out 50k because of Broken man and Oily Chris and the pump and dump. Sleep well . I know you will , because thats what us traders do , but it makes you think a bit about what they did to people .

Wildrides,
I love a trade as much as anyone, but most of what i write here is on companies where i can see longer term potential, although some of those also offer trading opportunities – I do cover the odd trade such as a KAZ short at 256ish the other week.
Personally if I cover a share and it gets a quick spike I don’t really view that as a success – it is more what the SP is doing months down the line, as a lot of PIs don’t trade. Plus of course a lot of these spikes on the AIM micro caps are only generated because of the coverage they’ve had on blogs, Twitter etc, and usually the only ones who win are those already in and often who were involved with promoting those companies (often the only way they can sell is to generate liquidity by luring in new buyers to offload their shares onto – a la SER!).
Unfortunately it is often the most vulnerable PIs that end up getting fleeced – now some may wonder why i would care about that, but the way i see it is that if these people are losing all their money in all the junk on AIM, then it means they aren’t investing in those that actually have prospects and have had good news, hence why we rarely see any sort of sustained rises any more even on company changing news.
Just my opinion of course, as ever.
