Not that long ago a five-year-old boy called Ashya King made the news in sad circumstances. He was taken away from an NHS hospital in Bristol and then grabbed by the police in Spain where his parents were arrested.

Hi Malcolm
“It suggests the machines, which work with proton beams could have a massive future. This is because they precisely target cancer cells, while keeping damage to surrounding healthy tissue to a bare minimum.”
Really? That’s interesting. Zap the cancer with accelerated hydrogen nuclei to cure/kill the cancer. Fuck me as if no-one thought of that one before. Presumably they modulate the Stern Gerlach polarised entanglement of the beam in order to cancel the possibility of Scientology induced Higgs Blems attaching to the patient.
Good to know you know all about High Energy/Quantum Physics and such stuff. Got any tips on how that EyeTalian bloke is getting on with his Fusion Bucket?
Oooo bugger me gosh. Rampity Rampity Ramp Ramp Ramp Ramp. What is your ‘comes with free bottle of snake oil exit strategy’?
Cancer may be shit. Please excuse the emotion but I would rather die from it than suffer apparently drivelling promises of a cure from some ignorofuck share tipster out to line his pocket with other people’s ultimate losses.

Well played Malcolm,
I’ve been in this one for a couple of years. Like to have some ethical shares, (if there is such a thing), in my portfolio. Even better when the prospects of the patient, the company, and the shareholder are aligned.
I have, as always with AIM stocks, taken profits as the stock climbs. You never know when a bit of negative news might whack the share price. Aim companies, and this one is no exception, take opportunities to place shares when the stock is positive. AIM success depends on protecting your capital.
I’m still extremely bullish on AVO, and still have a good holding, but now my exposure to this stock is for free!! Happy days.

The clear worry here is the Chinese expertise in buying in pioneering engineering ……. studying it ……… reverse engineering it and then……………… You got it , banging out cheap copies to all those unconcerned with copyright . Nice share if profits can be made and protected.

Bob ,
A bit unjustifiably rude if you ask me ……….. Malcolm is a Professional share Trader …….. 24/7 . He declared in the header he had a position in the stock . Malcolm writes about his experiences as a trader . This inevitably means that anything that is any good he already has a position in it . That does not stop me or others learning from following Malcolms activities or his pattern of thought in regards to trades he opens. Just read the header first fella , something I always do ………. ahem . Unless its Tom of course ………. then of course you can just be rude and claim its getting your retaliation in first ;-)

Bob – although I agree that seemingly promising cures for the dreadful ‘big C’ have produced many false dawns down they years (and professional researchers have perhaps exploited the understandable fear it instils), your post seems quite off its head. Although at the time of writing this the proton spin crisis remains unsolved, there’s nothing intrinsically challenging of a quantum mechanical nature underpinning this treatment. I’d be more concerned about proton decay, though we’d probably have to wait about 10^30 years to observe it.
Anyway, good luck to all holders of this share – if their research is self-sustaining why put the mockers on it? As far as I’m aware the little boy was actually treated successfully, thank heavens. People have been thinking about fusion for quite some time too but research into it continues because success would be (or at least should be – conspiracies aside) absolutely revolutionary. My money’s on ICF rather than MCF as regards that, by the way.
Actually, I swear as I type a regional BBC radio news programme (started at 11:00) has reported that the LHC has just bee switched on again (and that experiments are to resume in June). Perhaps it’s an omen!

Thanks, Gang. Bobbers, I suppose that every share tip can be dismissed as a ramp if the tipster already holds the stock. But I hold two hundred different companies and can only occasionally discuss a share I don’t hold. It’s important to put your money where you mouth is – though most share analysts don’t hold the stocks they discuss. By the way, I wrote this piece a week ago – and the share improved another 15% two days ago. Rocking on.
TW note:. I did not say it was a ramp. Just that I disagreed with your analysis.
