BP

Don't Worry Gang, Oil Will Be Well.

Hello share sharpers. I don't think I will be alone in saying that my share portfolio has been decimated by the falling oil price. This is because the Footsie is dominated by big oil shares – BP (BP.) BG (BG.) Royal Dutch Shell (RDSA) et al.

  1. Former Hot Stock Rocket under the radar :-

Directors take huge holdings see todays RNS :-

Inspirit (AIM: INSP) announces that the Board of Inspirit was informed that John Gunn, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, had yesterday purchased a further 2,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the Company (“Ordinary Shares”) at an average price of 0.67875p per share. This purchase takes Mr Gunn’s total holding to 355,841,335 Ordinary Shares, representing 50.75% of the Company’s enlarged issued share capital.

Further to the above, Neil Luke, Chief Operating Officer and Director of the Company, has opted to accept shares in lieu of his back dated fees of £33,000 and the Board has agreed to convert this fee by issuing 3,300,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 1p per share. Following this, Mr Luke’s total holding in the Company will be 3,300,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.47% of the Company’s enlarged issued share capital.

  2. I note Three Leg Resources is up 11% …… amazing what that fat cat Oakley can achieve as shadow director.

  3. InsanityBeckons

IF there is a deal with Iran regarding its nuclear program, don’t you think that sanctions will be eased? The first of these is likeley to be to allow Iran to sell oil on the open market, which will bring a big new supply to an already flooded market, suppressing prices.
Really, I cannot see oil returning above $60 a barrel before next year, especially if Iran is allowed back into the market – It’s gonna be a long recovery I fear.

  4. Malcolm

Your dead right…… your not alone!

Despite off loading my more speculative oil ‘investments’ and moving the funds into defensive stocks, ( LOL, like Diageo! ) my portfolio is well under water. Keeping holdings in BP, Soco, Lekoil and Chariot, hasn’t been a good move and has helped drag my portfolio down by over 16% in the last six months!

Needless to say, I sure hope your right…… I think you are.
