   Waseem, full respect to you for such a public apology, but I don’t feel that it’s fully required just yet. When/if this deal is completed and everyone looks at what’s left then Big Money is going to be asking the question, “So, what’s next?” For Quindell I have to say that, in the short term, the answer has just got to be “Norra lot.” Hasn’t it?
   They will be basically a technology company, on AIMS, trying to bring a product to market in a field where, despite all the optimism on their various boards, they are not the market leaders. Bigger fish by far than Quindell are capable of simply swathing into the market and grabbing the lion’s share.
   When this divi is paid I would be surprised if Quindell once again does not become one of the heaviest shorted stocks on the AIMS.
   Long term, Waseem, I do not think you are going to be proved wrong at all. OK, today you might feel a chump; but this will, in my opinion, be a feeling that’ll soon enough be behind you.

   Personally I dont think the deal will complete at the stated price …………. its all smoke and mirrors with these two companies .

   I speak as a neutral with no trading position since before XMAS 14 on QPP

   Leonstrade, the self proclaimed “insider”…was ramp’ant (nice word) on the BB over the weekend claiming he is right (he seems to have knowledge before others and generates the ramp – insider trading????)………..he doesn’t seem to be around today though to sustain the Ramp’athon…….FlawlessKicks got a ban on RKH 2 weeks ago for suggesting “crew change on rig and news coming”……why not Leonstrade…….or maybe he is after the weekend ramp’fest he was spinning

   Respect. You underreacted to new information when Mr Grech said the legal business was about scale and that there was noothing wrong with Quindell’s legal businesses, but we all do that. Similarly, the RTA business at Quindell is fairly standard and had been going for years, so it was possible to value it. Note that this deal will be 40% accretive to S&G in FYE June 2016! Good luck.

   Show boating going on here between QPP& S&G, lot more buyers suckered in on NOT a done deal YET, and of course a trading fest for the MM’s, the usual spike and return to open price, rinse and repeat.
   So this magnificent news will see erm 5% increase.

   Honourably said, Waseem – but there’s many a slip twixt cup and lip. The crunch dates are a) when S&G’s cash arrives; and b) when QPP shareholders get their promised divi.

   This is fishy on several counts, not least:

   1. S&G appear to have paid a lot more than QLS is worth;
   2. The timing of the RNS is breathtakingly convenient for QPP – just in time to save their bacon;
   3. Rob Terry knows more than anyone what QPP shares are worth – and he sold recently in the 40s;
   4. QPP sellers have been out in force today.

   Meanwhile, S&G still have to raise the funds and so they actually haven’t “stumped up” for anything yet.

   I’ll believe it when I see it the colour of their money.

   For someone who has been completely wrong about the possibility of a significant cash offer being made for Quindell (QPP), I should be thankful that I haven’t lost more money on my last short trade, which I entered into at an average of about 115p. I have previously made a considerable amount shorting Quindell, but it would appear to be more down to luck than judgement, considering the levels at which I shorted successfully from.

    I was short too.The main inaccuracy of the picture Tom was painting is that if you looked at the bulletin boards,there was a lot of bearishness there,and Tom’s opinion was definitely in the market.So there had to be something else propelling the shares upwards – however unlikely that something might have been.

    A good demonstration of integrity, I particularly admired your acknowledgement of the work of the new directors and the Betaville author. I hope Tom Winnifrith will follow your lead in due course.

    For what it is worth, I always read your articles with great interest and I hope to see more contributions from you in the future (hopefully positive updates on Bowleven!)
