The two leading bear raiders in London, Lucian Miers and Evil Knievil do not always agree but right now both have Quindell (QPP) and Avanti Communications (AVN) as their largest two shorts.

Seems there’s still a gap in the funding of the EDRS project where Avantis sattelite is a part. See the tweets from

about how much the Euro Commission is prepared to pay versus how much ESA expects.

Well these haven’t turned out so well for “the two leading bear raiders in London”!
QPP – 29/01 = 82p vs. 26/05 = 130p (up 58%). Large rise and for whatever mad reasons S&G are paying the reported price.
AVN – 29/01 = 206p vs. 26/05 = 219p (up 6%). Results on 5th Feb did not kill the SP, in fact it rose from 225p to 253p! Correct about placing though.
HUR – 29/01 = 12p vs. 26/05 = 16p (up 33%). Has not been lower than the 12p at time of publication.
So an average BULL GAIN of 33% for the bears!! You should get them to start tipping their strongest shorts for the Nifty Fifty Tom!

Am confused – is there not an unconditional contract under which Quindell will receive at least £637 million? And the Board have said they expect to distribute over 110p per share in cash?
