Imagination Technologies: At 233p, the bloodied bears are driven off

I return to the subject of Imagination Technologies (IMG) pointing out that the shares broke out from their recent downtrend when they went through 225p. They stand, last seen at 233p. I last wrote them up in April when the shares were 202p, as a follow up to an appraisal I had penned last December when the share price was at 178p. The stock had been driven down by some pretty big short selling. After a 30% gain since December, what next?

IMG

Imagination Technologies at 202p and after improving news and sentiment, possibly a buy?

Having noted that the share price of the recently much troubled and much shorted chip technology stock, Imagination Technologies (IMG) had just passed 202p (it was 180p when I last cast my tape measure over it last January), I thought that it was time for another look in that direction to see what of significance if any, might have happened. That is of course, other than the 12% improvement in the share price!

IMG

Imagination Technologies – I was right to say sell at 550p, Bulletin Board Morons wrong - what now at 180p?

Shares in Imagination Technologies (IMG) lost more than 4.5% yesterday, to 180p, on the back of an update that “unit shipments have been behind expectations”. Having been vindicated in the face of some bulletin board derision after questioning whether investors had envisaged the uncertainties when the shares traded at 550p less than a year ago (see HERE), what is the outlook now?

IMG

Imagination Technologies: one to add to the buy list @180.4p

Back in November I commenced watch on Imagination Technologies Group (IMG), the cloud and semi conductor intellectual property owning ‘chip’ designers. The announcement yesterday confirming a continuation of the commercial relationship with Apple seems to dispel one big doubt that has been instrumental in the big fall of the Imagination Technologies share price. Therefore these are shares for adding to buy lists, in my opinion.

IMG

Imagination Technologies - trading update: confident of continuing progress, so is share price decline justifiable?

FTSE-250 multimedia, communications and processor technology company, Imagination Technologies (IMG) has announced, to-date in its year ending 30th April 2014, “strong” royalty revenue growth in line with expectations, “significant” unit volume growth, driven by volume ramp-up and new product launches from a number of customers, and “steady” licensing activity. However:

IMG

Imagination Technologies - full-year results, bull case reassurance?

FTSE-250 multimedia, communications and processor technology company, Imagination Technologies (IMG) has announced, for its year ended 30th April 2013, an adjusted pre-tax profit of £34.34 million on revenue of £151.5 million (up 12% on an underlying basis), generating earnings per share of 9.4p, down from a prior year 10.1p.

Can Imagination Technologies support around £2.80?

As is often the case as far as stocks or markets which have dived considerably in the recent past, we are torn between bottom fishing at what appears to be the bargain basement zone, or to go with the flow in terms of a sell-off which has been in place for much of the past year. Indeed, on the daily chart of Imagination it can be seen how there has been a descending price channel in force since April last year. The floor of the channel is currently running through £2.83 p, the intraday floor of Wednesday so far.

Imagination Technologies - licence agreements & results preview

Ahead of its Wednesday scheduled results for its year ended 30th April 2013, FTSE-250 tech chip designer Imagination Technologies (IMG) has announced a license agreement for its latest release ‘MIPSr5’ architecture with NASDAQ-listed Cavium Inc., which will feature the technologies in its ‘OCTEON III’ family of processors.

Imagination Technologies - I was right to be bearish

With shares in Imagination Technologies (IMG) at 550p last month, I wrote, to some Bulletin Board derision, that investors “should deter from an investment at the current juncture” as the shares traded on a high rating despite the existence of clear near-term uncertainties. I was right, the Bulletin Board Morons wrong.

IMG

Imagination Technologies – have investors envisaged the uncertainties?

Imagination Technologies (IMG), the FTSE 250 technology chip designer, has updated on trading since its 31st October 2012 half year-end. At a current 550p, the shares are massively ahead of their 33.25p November 2008 lows but down on the in excess of 700p they reached in March and April of 2012. The following reviews the company’s trading update and whether the current share price represents value…

IMG

Imagination Technologies: Good company but price overblown: sell

Imagination Technologies (IMG) is clearly a good company. It is profitable, it is growing its sales rapidly, there is operational gearing and it generates cash and has a net cash position. It ticks all the boxes and is thus loved by investors retail and institutional. But at 523p the company is capitalised at £1.37 billion and on the basis of what is known that share price looks overheated. The shares are a sell.

Only about 3.5 million files of approximately 6 million Epstein files have been released, and of those released many are heavily redacted by the Trump DOJ in Washington. The answer to your question may be in the redacted and unreleased files. Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the DOJ is permitted to suppress explicit abuse materials.
