EQTEC – hopefully my prior warning was heeded as “High-Grade Copper and Gold Potential at Green Rock” attempted ramptastic fails

Earlier this week with the shares up to 0.05p on the back of a “Facility Conversion Notice and Cancellation” announcement, I wrote on EQTEC plc (EQT) ‘more dilution ahead of “outline… copper-gold work programme” attempted ramptastic’. What about now from the company a “High-Grade Copper and Gold Potential at Green Rock”-titled announcement and CEO James Parsons emphasising “we are… delighted” (of course!)?

Most recently on EQTEC plc (EQT), last month with the shares up to 0.09p I wrote it ‘emphasises ‘complementary expansion’ strategy, but what about funding?’ including concluding that it was good luck to shareholders on the terms of a ‘materially deleveraging debt restructuring’ and still caveat emptor and avoid/sell. The shares most recently closed falling towards 0.04p but what about them currently up to 0.05p on the back of a “Facility Conversion Notice and Cancellation” announcement?

EQTEC – emphasises ‘complementary expansion’ strategy, but what about funding?

EQTEC (EQT) has issued a “Complementary strategic expansion”-titled announcement commencing with that it “is building on its gasification foundation with a vertically integrated, capital-light strategic expansion into complementary assets central to global electrification, supported by constructive lender engagement on the progressive strategy”. What about that “expansion” in the context of a share price of 0.09p, up more than 60% in response?!

We’ve previously noted on company describing itself as “a provider of syngas technology and engineering services for clean conversion of waste into sustainable energy and biofuels” Eqtec plc (EQT), ‘a “proposed capital reorganisation” for “the ability of the company to raise funds by way of the issue of further equity”’ and ‘board and funding changes including appointment of James Parsons of previous AIM market infamy’. What of today an intra-day (uh oh!), 12:30pm, “Corporate and Funding Update”?

That will have hurt existing shareholders, but not as much as the new shareholders who today woke up to learn that the company is in receipt of a filing of legal complaint alleging patent infringement in California from Aries Clean Energy LLC.
