Yesterday Bushveld Minerals (BMN) put itself into the South African equivalent of Chapter 11. The day before its shares were suspended pending clarification. Stevie Wonder can see that shareholders will get nowt and that the company is well and truly fecked. But some folks are always optimistic. Step forward activist investor Kamran Sattar
The bulletin board morons knew better than old TW. Andrew Monk knew far better than old TW as he always does as Andrew is always right and old TW is just a failed fund manager who works in a pizza shop. But it seems that maybe old TW was not wrong in warning folks time and time again that Bushveld Minerals (BMN) was a scandalous penny share promote that would end in tears. Its shares were 40p seven years ago. Today they are suspended at 0.6p, still a market cap of £7 million.
Speaking as a perma bear, I note that it is always welcome when a sinner repenteth and Andrew Monk of VSA Capital (VSA), where I am an unwitting small shareholder, was at one stage something of a fan of Bushveld Minerals (BMN). Today in his podcast the broker simply states that “Someone should put Bushveld out of its misery” as it posts notice of a GM. The monkey is right: this company is now pointless and worthless.
Oh dear, oh dear this is - as long predicted – ending in tears. Bushveld Minerals (BMN) shares have dipped today to 0.65p but that is still a market cap of £14.6 million. At best that is 80% too high at worst Bushveld is a zero. I am naturally waiting for mass apologies from those who took to twitter and the bulletin boards to abuse and troll me for my warnings.
Last week I asked if Bushveld Minerals (BMN) had LIED to punters when it said in a 5 December RNS that it HAS raised $18.4million. Of course it did lie as, as of today, it still has not received $12.5 million of that cash. So it had not raised the monies it claimed it merely had some dodgy chaps saying that they would put in money. That is very different. Natch stacks of morons who cannot see inside this paywall took to twitter blasting me for telling lies without having actually read what I wrote. Karma mothers. Karma.
On 5 December 2023 Bushveld Minerals (BMN) announced via RNS an $18.4 million fundraise at 2.25p, a 33.3% premium to the then share price. The question I ask is did that RNS contain an outright lie?
The word on the street is that Sattar, who owns just over 4% of Bushveld Minerals (BMN) will file papers calling for a GM this week.
Bushveld Minerals (BMN) was once one of the big mining success stories on AIM, but after its shares soaring by nearly 2,500%, they have steadily fallen ever since, and now trade at almost back where they began.
Nomad and broker SP Angel of the fraud MySquar (MYSQ) infamy specialises in shite penny dreadful mining stocks and its lead analyst is John Meyer who also has a gig doing videos for interactive investors. And here John and ii score a perfect fail for transparency.
I remember when I first covered Bushveld Minerals (BMN) as a buy back in 2016 at around the 2p level, prior to the completion of its asset acquisition, vanadium wasn’t a commodity that you heard mentioned much.
Almost a year ago I suggested that it would be a good time to consider banking at least some profit on Bushveld Minerals (BMN), but now that the share price has almost halved since then, I believe that the shares are now back in the buy zone. Here, in detail, is why...
From the FCA's spreadsheet of short positions required to be disclosed to it, the following shows the shorted AIM shares with positions from 2018 and thus far in 2019 (by net short position %, those in bold not on the list at the start of 2019) – and if this position has increased (red), reduced (green) or remained unchanged (black) since last week...
