Today, The Smarter Web Company (SWC) has announced that a “strategic investor” has invested £3.795259 million at 495p, Friday’s closing bid price.

Why am I surprised at yet another farcical episode on the London market? As Tom has suggested for over 2 years, this stock has clearly always been one for one to add to their bargepole list. While I doubt that anybody reading this website would own GEX shares, unfortunately numerous BB mugs will have been lured into buying shares in this joke company. I understand that the bar for regulatory action by the FCA on Main Market listed shitcos appears to be set extremely high, but surely it should be taking action against companies who engage in such placings. The culture of companies materially misleading investors ahead of placings, while sitting on adverse price sensitive information, must be rooted out if London is to be considered a credible financial centre.

From the January 2026 peak some of my gold and silver stocks are down by up to 50 %.However the intrinsic npv of these Companies at much lower gold and silver prices leaves these mines at a huge discount based on the current sp.I remember being in cey in 2008 when the price tanked but I stayed in because the gold had not gone away….

I would hope they would take action.I suspect they won't. Anything goes on London.The LSE mugs are still rounding on the bear and buying the dip. One of the strongest Stockholms I've ever seen.

Surely one is always underwater when buying shares because of the spread? Maybe the spread is greater for an AQSE stock than a FTSE 100 stock but you'll always be slightly under water, hopefully just short term.
