Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
Today I wish to enlighten ShareProphets’ readers with the truth. Not all tipping websites out there are remotely interested in making you money. They are more interested in lining their own fat pockets. Here is a case study of an example from yesterday and why the culprit website is not to be trusted.

I like how you use sites like Gotham city research to shore up your arguments but call other sites like ‘NextOilRush’ pathetic.

So, really, not much different to ShareProphets or any typical broker then? The price to buy at the start of the week – 9.75 or 9.59 if you were extremely sharp – stayed more or less the same until the same article appeared on HotCopper’s e-flyers yesterday afternoon.

Don you are clearly a prize dickhead.
Shareprophets is NOT a broker. We make the same amount if shares go up or down, we make more money if folks read our site and they do it only if we get it right.
That we do far more often than we get it wrong which is why registered user numbers are going through the roof.

But hold on a second Tom. I’ve just received this Tangiers Petroleum tip in an email from you!
Or at least it was sent to the email address unique email address that I gave to ShareProphets when I joined.

You appear to be von the Onefreesharetip mailing list and this was sent out by an advertising solus on that site which is jointly owned by ourselves & ADVFN.
ADVFN sells the advertising inventory.
I have made it clear that they are not to take any more advertising from these folks on any of our JVs and ADVFN has agreed.
The least I can do now is to give a prominent platform to the excellent James Parter piece which shows what bologne this was.
I am sorry we ran this on OFSTAD . It will not happen again.
