At a bullish high of £16.22 five years ago I can't see any way back. The important Art & Antiques sector in ATG has disappointed and it's not hard to see why. I can directly bid online at Sotheby's and Christies at zero cost, while the ATG portal generally charges 6% of the successful bid. If you're also paying the auction house 30% or more on top of your winning bid, that's serious extra money. A direct competitor, Easy Live Auction, offers the option of a single charge of £3 to register for an auction with no portal charge at all on winning lots, and no upper bid limit. I only use ATG now if there is absolutely no other way of bidding online at a particular auction.
It's worth looking into that bond too.ISIN US92212VAA08• Issuer: E-Stream Energy GmbH & Co. KG• Instrument Name: VANOR CA 5.2/FEB24• Coupon Rate: 5.2%• Maturity / Expiry Date: February 17, 2024 (Inactive/Matured)• Listing Venue: Vienna MTF (Wiener Börse)marketscreener.com/quote/bond/VANOR-CA-5-2-FEB24-131133333/QGP quickly removed the ISIN from their press release when people noticed it was BS, but VLRM went ahead and used it in today's RNS, with this justification:"To address recent market queries, the Company clarifies that while the original term of the Bond was 2024, the maturity was formally and legally extended to 17 February 2028 via a 4th Amendment dated 4 April 2025. The face value was also formally increased to US$3.45 billion via a 3rd Amendment dated 4 November 2022. Both amendments are legally binding and registered."
